FX4 without tow package. I have no need to tow anything other than a small utility trailer and I wanted the slightly better MPG without the tow package.

Unfortunately with my truck being scheduled I'd have to put in an entirely new order in order to add 4k and forfeit my current one. I don't even know if the order banks are still open. 🙁
they are open, but dealers are not allowed to place retail orders that exceed their allocation, so many of the larger dealerships are not taking orders at this time.

I did not realize you're scheduled. that being the case, I'm pretty confident you can live without it.

Ah, you are scheduled, yes that throws a different light on it. Certainly not worth it especially if you original thought you didn't need it.

Same here. Fx4, w/o 4k tow. Love it... I never tow, ever... but wouldn't mind it just for resale value. If I get better mpg then no regrets. I'm getting 26mpg and I'm heavy on the gas.

Also just did 800 miles in a brand new '23 f150, 2 people, luggage and 2 bikes. the mav would have handled the trip better. The seating was about the same, maybe slightly more room in the f150, but not noticeably. The main difference was the massive center console. And separation from passenger, certainly higher up. But far worse fuel economy and worse road manners. Definitely feel the bumps more. Also I missed the ease of getting in and out. Never thought I'd say this as an athletic guy, but climbing up and in the f150 was annoying when I'm just driving to the grocery store. Same with putting bikes in and out of a bed that was really high. F150 surely is more capable, especially on the beach sand. But the small truck is really all I needed. And literally HALF the price. Loving the Maverick so much right now after seeing what I missed out on for a $65k f150
I know what you mean, I have a Bronco, worse fuel economy and on road manners. I love it dearly and wouldn't part with it because it's going to take me places the Mav can only dream about. The Mav feels like a sports car in comparison and is perfect for my everyday around town vehicle.

Maverick definitely feels like a sports car. It's really fast and handles really well

I have a Bronco also and there is one thing very different about their sporty feel: throttle response.

The Bronco throttle response is way more aggressive than the Maverick. When the Bronco is in normal drive mode, the throttle (but not transmission) behaves like the ecoboost Maverick when it's in sport drive mode.

I think some of what I feel is the size and weight difference, I have a 2.7 4dr WT and it feels a little more pondering then the Maverick but the Bronco is a whole lot heavier and is a real truck, body on frame. The HOSS 3.0 suspension is great and helps it behave better on the road.

The Maverick feels like my old Miata compared to the Bronco. The Miata of course is mostly illusion since they really aren't all that fast but because of the size you feel like you are flying.

ah, that's a big difference. I have a 2-door OBX with the 2.3 which the title says is only 4206 pounds, about 350 more than my Maverick. both with premium fuel the Maverick is faster but the little mule is faster than any Jeep that isn't a 392.

your 4 door 2.7 is probably 5000 pounds. that's a big difference.

Yes, every bit of 5000 pounds.

I did, but it looks like everyone who has FX4 also grabbed 4ktowing. I am wondering if anyone ordered only FX4 and after owning it regret not adding 4k? I don't know if the order banks are still open and I don't really want to lose my place but will take the risk if having only FX4 seems lacking. This is my first truck and my first build and don't want to regret it!

About my needs: I don't really tow right now but hope for a small camper someday. 5 years away maybe. I'm more concerned about the ratio difference and transmission cooler. Of course I guess it would've been good to also have it for any "what if" scenarios, but I'm probably just overthinking like usual.

Any thoughts appreciated!
I did order one and then regretted it so I bought a Lariat AWD 4K tow that was on the lot (brand new) I just towed a 6x12 trailer yesterday that weighed a guesstimated 3K to 3.5K and got 16.5 MPG I was very impressed on how it pulled the trailer.
