Lost one car about 15 years ago to hail. Ain't losing Marvin the Maverick to hail tonight.

Mine would be in the garage unless I got caught out somewhere.

My wife's Audi is in the garage. Happy wife, happy life.

They actually make Hail Covers for vehicles now. I ordered one for sedans because the only truck covers seemed to be regular car covers and not hail covers. For worst-case hail, I'll put my regular Maverick cover OVER the hail cover. In Texas, I saw cars DESTROYED by hail, even their vertical surfaces. I never saw baseball-size hail, out on the desert, but I saw lots of golfball-size hail.

yes there are inflatable ones, saw one on YouTube. There are also, I guess you would call a heavy duty cover. They are a little pricy.

My old F250 and RV got battered by big hail. Big dents in RV, top rear aluminum panel, busted skylights, attic vent, AC shroud. Rainwater pour in. Truck got few dents on hood and top. $2,300 damage.

That's kind on a useless alert for 99% of the Maverick owners. Its definitely not going to hail here for example.

My first car ever was a '99 Mustang and it was ruined by the May 3rd tornados that ripped through Oklahoma City when I lived there. Luckily we lived on the side of the neighborhood that only got minimal damage... the other side was not so lucky. Not even a half mile away.

Hail sucks. Tornado's suck.

So glad I have a carport and don't live anywhere near Tornados anymore.

We had marble size hail an hour before NHRA finals at Pomona raceway in California this year !
Too hot up there I guess , darn global warming !
