How many colors of noodles are there? Could be some matching to truck colors, school colors or just a messed-up mix of colors which would go well with the yellow school bus colored Mav!!:surprised:😉

In central Texas, we get hail regularly in spring, so needed something to cover it, since my garage is full. 😉
I applaud your efforts but it looks inside there like a lifestyle choice. I would maybe consider a shed, garage shelving (with hoists if high ceiling space can be used), and park the truck inside.

At least it wasn't full of junk. Well, the half I can see. :)

unfortunately, I have the same worry with hail as my Maverick and the wife's 19 Escape sit outside. Garage is storing my summer toys: 1966 Ford Galaxie & a 1936 Buick Special. I need a bigger garage....

Um,
Made a roll-up hail cover using pool noodles and paracord. In central Texas, we get hail regularly in spring, so needed something to cover it, since my garage is full. 😉

Um, see the door in the background? It opens up to an area called a "garage". It's main purpose is to park a vehicle in to protect it from the elements. You're welcome. 🙃

That is so simple and stupid it is sheer genius.
I love it.
Someone else mentioned doing the cover in school colors, etc. You could probably market those.

I used the Dollar Store ones, but find whatever works for you and is cheapest. I was able to pull out just the orange and blue ones, for aesthetics.

I know this is for hail but when I see the picture all I can think of is "emergency floatation device" followed by ... "How far does this guy drive down the ramp to launch his boat?"

a carport is a great choice if both HOA and wifey allow it.

in the OP's case, there are bikes and other crap in there with a lot less value than a maverick, and the average person's $1000 comprehensive deductible could be spent on a shed instead. (I do realize a good pre-fab shed can cost a lot more, and if you have HOA rules that require framed wood construction etc, sheds can get properly expensive.)

any person that owns a 2 car garage should be able to park at least one car inside it. I parked outside for over 3 years after I got married because my wife's cute house in a trendy part of town did not have a garage, but anytime I've had a garage I do see the value in parking in it. 🤘

Yea . Good idea . it is amazing in Florida (no basements or attics to speak of ) so the garage becomes storage for extra stuff usually worth a couple of thousand dollars at best . But leave their tens of a thousand dollars cars in the driveway . Mav and motorcycle in garage here . most expensive vehicles in garage .

Come on guys, cut him some slack about the garage. A lot of people have 3 cars and a 2 car garage and live in an HOA neightborhood so no car cover. We had some pea size hail already last night here in dfw and I'm seriously considering this. One of my neighbors uses one of these. Link

the reason for the commentary, including several replies from me, is that the OP appears to have a 2 car garage with zero space in it for cars.

that is a lot different than 2 cars parked inside and 1 or more that by definition have to be outside.

the biggest issue with the pool noodles is that they might help some, but definitely will not be sufficient in a serious hailstorm. the wind will bring hail from the sides and might rip this completely off.
