What the Hail!

Several years ago my wife got stuck on the interstate in her Lexus with a big Oklahoma hail deluge. Pretty dinged up. PDR removed 100% and no evidence remained. and 100% insurance-covered.

The same thing happened to my wife’s Q50. The body shop had a hail damage specialist. You could not tell it had been hit.

when this hail storm was on the local news I wondered if there were any Mavs that got pummeled.

a very sad sight.

Hopefully insurance will give you a new one next year.

The dings weren't as deep as the maverick but that truck is a 2003 Ram 2500 so it's made to be a little more heavy. And now rhat I think of it, when I bought it new it was not as expensive

Also the hood on the MAV is aluminum vs steel. Assume that made some difference.

Funny you said that. We have some new neighbors, fresh in from California, that have similar concerns about moving to Tennessee, noted for "nocturnal tornadoes". Said they'd rather live with earthquake risk than staying up all night worrying about getting flattened by a tree.

Got hit by hail last night. Ended up with about 2 inches on the ground. Quarter or ping pong sized. Only had it for 5 weeks so far. Now, can we find parts. No sense getting it fixed, another round coming over the next 12 hours.

A garage should be next on your list!!

I feel so bad for you! I stood inside my house, sick to my stomach, watching the hail pummel my Maverick. I was extremely fortunate when I went out after the storm and found no dings! I wanted to upload my video but haven’t been able to convert .mov to another format yet.

BTW, this was the first time in 19 years that I saw hail beachside in NE FL! My friend 1/4 mile away had none.

Wow very sorry - that sucks... Replace the windshield and drive it for a year.. someone will buy it then get a new 2023 model. I hope no one's head was out in that storm.

Sorry to see this. I had the same thing on a two week old Mazda B2000. Now anytime I see even pea size hail I cringe. Insurance will take care of it, is about the only positive thing I can say. Good luck

OP... My condolences.
I feel your pain.
Regarding parts availability.
Thanks to precision timing and the incredible trajectory of a small road stone that struck the windshield of my nearly new Maverick with perfect accuracy, we need a new windshield.
Geico deals with Safelite..short story...as of now, it will take 3-4 weeks to get a replacement from Ford.
