And shut down future EV plans for good.

Ford, and everybody else, is right behind them.

Nobody is buying these things anymore.

Toyota was one of the few manufacturers to be honest with themselves, and the public, about the future of EV’s, when they announced no plans to replace ICE/hybrids with EV’s.

They're slowing it down, not shutting it down.

You need to stop getting news from clickbait youtube channels.

And EV adoption is slowing because everyone is targeting the luxury market -- so folks can't afford them.

I think Ford would have done themselves a big favour by doing a Maverick EV instead of the Lightning. This is sort of hard to believe but I suppose it's possible.

I wouldn't be surprised, but I'm not seeing it confirmed anywhere.

WSJ had an article about it several days ago as well as a few other honest media outlets.

The EV market is dying for many reasons, not the least of which is that the general public doesn’t want them any more and can’t afford them anyway.

Is Ford currently manufacturing any MachE’s right now? Are there tons of unsold MachE’s on dealer lots?
What part of this don’t some of you understand?

Read my lips: The general public doesn’t want them anymore.

Facts are hard to face when your hopes and dreams are melting before your eyes.

It is unlikely that this is true. I could see GM scaling back their EV production like Ford just announced but not cancelling it all together.

They'll launch one when it makes sense. Given they're limited by battery cells, there's no reason to put them in a truck that makes you pennies when you can put it in a truck that makes you dollars.

As far as GM scaling back, yeah, it makes sense. Interest rates are through the roof and consumers are tired of getting pinched. So the first thing to go out the window is their willingness to spend 100k an an electric truck.

An EV Maverick and GM shutting down EV production are 2 different things.

Still waiting on documentation to support your original claim.

I agree it's not canceling. I certainly believe there is going to continue to be a decent demand for EV but I don't think there is going to be a massive shift., more like slow and steady over time.
