Does this battery fit properly under the seat with the plastic cover on?

Does this battery have a vent like the original battery does to vent toxic fumes to the exterior?

Is this battery still available?

I ask because I only see the 680 cca version.
The 680 CCA version fits fine other than needing to remove or cut the plastic panels to install it.

So it doesn't really fit fine if cutting plastic panels is required.

Cutting is not required if you are willing to remove a couple snap-in plastic panels. You can put them back once the battery is installed.

Road trip! Not sure if it was an update or what, but no more deep sleep messages. I got about 15-20 the first year. Never caused any issues even with the messages. Same battery but DS just kinda went away.
I drive mine around city, short trips, hardly any highway. In Feb. Ford put new 'Motocraft Max output' battery in my Mav, and I got a Faraday pouch to store my key fob in when parked in the driveway, in hopes of less communication between key fob and truck. After about 8 weeks, deep sleep mode appeared. So have taken a few longer trips, along with a few short trips in 'sport' mode, and deep sleep mode seems to have disappeared, but most likely reappear if I go back to my normal driving habits. :(

If you don't use the Fordpass app, turn it off in the Infotainment settings menu along with wi-fi and auto-updates. Solved the problem for me.

Ford will tell you to drive it more. I would recommend a battery tender if you only drive once a week. These new cars and pickups are computers on wheels and demand more electricity.
Well, I think I found the answer. There is a recall that could take care of this issue.

Circular argument, but I'll try it. Can't use the Ford Pass app because of deep sleep mode. Maybe just turning off updates and wifi will do the trick.

Hi Edward! I can look into your Maverick's concern on my end. To get started, could you please send a private message over with the name/location of your local Ford dealer and your Maverick's VIN?

It didn't for me. Only when I turned off Fordpass along with wifi and auto-updates did I notice the interior lights coming on consistently.

Welcome to the deep sleep club.

I never installed Ford Pass, never activated the modem, replaced the stock battery with a Die Hard Gold T4 at a cost of $229 and reset the new battery. A couple of months later, it starts deep sleeping again.

No dome lights and the 12v power points cut off instantly when I turn the key off and open the driver’s door. Due to how I use my truck this is inconvenient for me.

It still deep sleeps even immediately after topping off the battery with a trickle charger.

On the bright side, I have had zero other problems with the truck. Just some annoyances that are intentional, like can’t permanently set it to eco mode and can’t turn off automatic door locking.

I have never set up Ford Pass and did pull fuse #11 (telematics) in passenger footwell in order to avoid battery problems. Do monitor status via Scan Gauge I in OBD port. Check voltage when I first enter vehicle and is slowly getting lower each time over time. Now down to 11.2 volts. Have had '24 Lariat 5 months and 2200 miles. Most trips at least 15-21 miles 2-3 times a week. Came from Ford with 470 CCA battery. Hope this issue gets resolved before my courtesy lights no longer come on. Anyone think I should preventatively charge my battery?

The 470 CCA flooded battery will make a difference and reseting the BCM. You will see another "sleep" message within another 4 months. This happened to me and I simply recharged my battery knowing it will pop up again in 4 months or less.

I will be buying the highest rated AGM battery that will fit in my truck towards the end of the year. I will be buying the Forscan (am I the only one who thinks the Forscan name just sounds like something else?), I will go into the computer and up the charge settings, reset the BCM and be done with this mess.

The permanent "fix" is getting an AGM battery, going into Forscan and upping the charge ratio from 80% to 95% and resetting the BCM. Yes, it costs us out of pocket, but good luck getting a dealer to do any of this.

This seems to be the most permanent fix that those in MaverickTruckClub have done.

I had this problem but Ford never repaired it. I know it was the harness issue, but two dealership service departments wouldn't fix it as it passed the "tug test". Yet it continued not to start or power up.

I hope that works for you. If I read the receipt correctly, it has only been one week since it was fixed?
