That BS reset procedure is actually supposed to be done after installing a new battery.WOW just happened to me this morning after 2 years. THANKS!!!!!!!!
So fully charged. For a reason.
It resets several fields that tells the BMS what state is your battery in, and for tracking how it's doing, and how it's going to charge it.
By reseting as a solution to the issue stated - it is merely telling the system here's a new battery, reset the figures for what you see now. Except it's not a new battery.
So if your battery was actually NOT getting charged much past 55% and that is why you had the issue, by resetting it to say this is what a full charge is - the system will now only attempt charging to maybe 60% of an already degraded battery that is very low charge.
The system is trying to protect your battery so it has enough charge for the next start, this merely fools it for a bit because it appears the charge is higher than the limit - for awhile, but since the charging level will now be so low - it's a great way to kill the battery faster to get that next warranty replacement.
