Yes a lot of things / fun stuff one can do if you have access to internal code and engine / transmission parameters

Not as fancy looking but a little similar to some of the scenes in Fast and Furious where the actors have laptops running, changing engine fuel and spark on the fly.
That forescan program has my attention. It would be fun to unlock sport mode in an fx4. There is literally no reason why it couldn't be there.

I have read you can do a lot with forescan. Not sure it would allow you to change top speed for instance, or shift points, spark or transmission pressures. Auto companies are making this harder and harder for after market tuners to access.

I certainly wouldn't be interested in changing anything like that but I don't see any reason why you shouldn't be able to enable sport and eco mode.

Maybe they will come out with a pedal commander that will quicken things up on the throttle response.

Having briefly tested the modes on my fx4, it would not surprise me in the least if mud and ruts we're just a renamed sport mode and slippery just renamed eco. Slippery is super slow, and mud ruts keeps the revs coming.

These are all just software enhancements anyway, nothing you can't really just do with your right foot if you're paying any attention to driving at all basically.

So are they in the same places on "THE KNOB" as the ones that were "ON THE KNOB"? Does the FX4 have a "PEEL & STICKY" on it's "KNOB"?😳

I talked to pedal commander after getting my mav and it turns out ford has used the same gas pedal since 2012 and any ford pedal commander will work. I think it is the pc18 and mine makes a huge difference

I can confirm it's the PC18 that works on the Maverick. I took a Pedal Commander from a 2019 Ford Raptor and installed it on my Maverick and it works just fine. Install took about 10 minutes. I understand you aren't gaining any horsepower, but taking out that throttle lag makes such a big difference. Supersport Plus mode is almost to much though because the shift points are really high. Sport mode on level 2 is where I have mine set and it is like driving a different truck.

Is it worth using Petal Commander? Meaning if you had to do again, you would buy it again?

I am thinking of ForScan too. So what would you recommend to get?

I want to add the other drive modes to my XL.

I have one in my 2017 GMC Sierra Denali and my 2019 Raptor and I personally love them. The complaints I see from people having issues seem to be the ones that just change the settings while they are driving. I don't mess with the settings unless my trucks are stopped and in park. I have never had a single issue and I am 4 years in with them. You can find the PC18 online cheaper than the 299 price tag. It doesn't have to be for the Maverick specific as long as it is the PC18 model. It works on all Ford's with that pedal plug. I just ordered one off eBay for 150 bucks to out back in my Raptor and it was off an F250 Super Duty.

There is a good thread on the forum showing exactly how to activate all drive modes using Forscan. Seems pretty easy, and they have confirmed that all modes are indeed different. In other words, Sport isn't the same as Sand, etc. Each mode responds differently as to how power is transferred and distributed on AWD models.

I have an FX4 model on order. If/when it shows up, I am definitely interested in adding the Sport mode via Forscan, as I have heard many good things about it from other drivers.

Yep 10 min with ForScan and I had all 7 modes selectable in my FX4. Sport definitely wakes the truck up but use it wisely unless you want to wave goodbye to your MPG 😂

So I will get the ForScan for sure!

Yes Sport mode is fun, I rolled over the 1000 mile break in mark last week and tried out sport mode and it was around 20 mpg! Lol 😂
