They published a TSB earlier this month, two of the vapor lines underneath the truck by the gas tank running to the engine are touching and can rub a hole through one of the lines. Definitely check there
Look at you go! So it mostly works as it should except at low speeds? Basically it has lane centering and basic adaptive cruise control, with "splotchy" stop and go? Cuz that's all I'd ask from it if I were to do it lol
I just stood in front of my Mav while my buddy drove it towards me at 5mph or maybe even faster lol. AEB kicked in and stopped it we'll before me! And yes I was prepared to run out of the way if it was unsafe lmao
Did you order a new brake booster too? I heard you "need" the electric one for ACC which seems involved to replace. I'd love to add ACC as it's relatively easy to do so long as you're not replacing the booster
The great thing about modern day vehicles is if there's a problem with a system, that feature gets disabled. If something goes wrong with added on ACC it will simply turn off the ACC and spit a code until it's fixed, similar to ABS system for example. That's no worse than the truck turning off...
Pretty sure Ford greased the hubs from the factory as mine has that too. Axle grease from a torn boot wouldn't make it outside the hub and it's a dark green color
I've noticed a popping noise occasionally when turning the steering wheel, then straightening it out. Im gonna put it up on a lift and see if I can duplicate it
Our 2019 FX4 Ranger has an off road screen where you can see the steering angle, and incline angles of the truck. I was wondering if can it be added to a non FX4 Mav as I imagine an FX4 Mav also has this?
Maybe you let go too soon? These new Fords have the ability where you "flick" the key into the start position and let go, it will crank until it starts. It's actually how I start mine
I have the A/T Trails on my Maverick, 235/65/17 and put them on at 200 miles so I cannot say how much mileage is affected. However, I get 27mpg with AWD if I chose not to give it too much throttle of course 😂
Fun!! I used "easy mode" and enabled mud/snow and deep sand drive mode options but after selecting those modes it says drive mode not available. This post should resolve this for me. I was waiting for someone to figure it our!
It's not much more work at all. I think it's easier not to as it holds the steering wheel tight to pull off the trim the connectors are in. Also don't have to deal with the possibility of the clockspring spinning or putting the steering wheel back on crooked.
I talked to pedal commander after getting my mav and it turns out ford has used the same gas pedal since 2012 and any ford pedal commander will work. I think it is the pc18 and mine makes a huge difference
