Fuel mileage when using different drive modes.

I am curious if anyone has really compared mpg for the different drive modes for the Ecoboost engine. I have heard some of the hybrid owners say slippery mode is sometimes better mpg than normal mode. I have tried eco mode but don't like the way the transmission shifts and seems to hunt for gears in that mode.

Yes. Depending on drive mode, my fuel mileage will vary.

My furl mileage is best in ECO. My hurl mileage is not good when I hurl the truck off the line in sport. What in the wurled are we talking about here?? I think I will go ask my gurl.....

Youse guyz are killing me !
I leave mine in Normal mode until I got to climb my loose gravel. Then Slippery puts the same amount of power to all four wheels per my individual wheel dash power meter.
Eco makes my Eco run like it needs a tun up
Dam the FURL mileage I say, I want my Ecoboost pur~fur~mense !

I can duplicate spirt mode with my big toe.
Numeral and Slippy are all I use, the other modes are as useless as,
Hen shit on a pump handle.

In my usage which is at least 80% highway there is no difference between normal and eco drive modes.

I have used slippery drive mode when it's slippery and I did not pay much attention to mpg because winter fuel blends get crappy mpg, anyway.

There is definitely a mpg hit in sport mode. It shifts later and keeps it in a lower gear, but it's fun to drive fast. Sand drive mode is the 'whee' button for playing in the snow. Otherwise, I keep it in normal drive mode.

Tried eco mode on a trip to Florida last year and didn't have any real change with mainly freeway driving. Have not tried it with my normal country road driving because I hate how much it lugs the engine. Mileage drops for me in tow/haul, which I expect anyways since I only use it when hauling significant weight, and it keeps the revs higher. I use slippery quite a bit over the winter and haven't noticed a difference from normal(not that I log mileage, I just watch my instant and average on the screen). On the rare occasion I use sport mode, mileage really tanks because the right foot suddenly gets heavier!

Mine is opposite. Min drives better and shift and holds gears in eco mode. My favorite mode. But I don’t seem to save any fuel in any mode except sport is always lower. It’s hard to not use the pedal in that mode

Let’s keep in mind those hybrid guys also tend to think it’s fast, and also think they are more reliable and saving the planet all at the same time. So I wouldn’t take what they say as gospel. Lol

(ETA 24 Hybrid.) Eco mode seems to make a difference at low freeway speeds (60-65). I'll often get 40 mpg. I don't notice a major difference from normal to eco around town, but it is pretty hard to know as I don't always remember to switch modes.
I don't drive in slippery mode because A. SoCal and B. the one time I did, I nearly rear ended someone because of how unexpectedly unresponsive it made the brake pedal.
Tow haul was awful mileage but that could be mostly because I was towing once and hauling another time. (Go figure!)
Sport could be fun but I am old enough to be past my boy racer days and can (almost) get my jollies hypermiling. But I do fund sport mode useful going up a long winding mountain road; makes it easier to be smooth. (Banner Grade outside San Diego if you're interested.)
