Am frustrated with Ford, with Fette Ford (NJ), and the lack of customer service. Am frustrated with the lack of information and empathy. What did ever happened to the "customer is always right" to being polite, and to at least pretend that they care? The @Ford Motor Company supposedly opened a case (on 3/16) to look into my order, I called the ford customer services and they tell me that they don't see any open case with the number that @Ford Motor Company created. I have been trying to contact @Ford Motor Company privately and no answer. I wrote those letter to the people that @Delzona recommended, heard from someone in March and that person has also been unresponsive since then. I been trying to reach out to my sales person at Fette Ford and received no answers from them. I finally got the "manager" on the phone today (5/13), he was one of the most rude person that I have even encounter, very indifferent, and arrogant. The last time I spoke to the @Ford Motor Company on 5/2, I was told to check in with my sale person regarding the COVP but my dealer has no clue if this was done. The "manager" told me that I don't have a COVP. In addition, they have messed up my pricing and I have been waiting since February 2022 for them to fix this issue. The originally calculated the wrong sale tax and didn't even include the deposit we had put. When the sales person finally "fix the problem" I noticed that they put the price increased of the vehicle, which shouldn't apply to us since we ordered before this occurred. I sent my sales person the information that @fordvideoguy shared regarding the price protection and he assured me that we were price protected, but am still waiting to get that in writing.

Fast forward to 5/13 and this "manager" in a very rude manner is telling me that he cannot provide a price protection since the price of the vehicle has changed. I am trying to explain what @fordvideoguy shared, but he started to yell/scream, which I don't tolerate and hanged up the phone as he wouldn't even let me speak.

I am unsure what to do, I ordered in 10/29 still no VIN, still no information, I feel like I have invested A LOT of time and energy into this and will not drop the order as my sale person has tried to make me do, he even offer to return my full deposit back, but I think this is just to resell the vehicle at a higher price. I took a break in April from following up and checking in, but since I resumed trying to get more information in May, it has been one disappointment after another. I am terrified that when the vehicle is finally built/shipped Fette Ford will try to scam me as I seen it has happened to many people in here. Any recommendation for me to keep calm as I continue to wait until probably 2023?

What I do know, is that this will be my first and last vehicle that I purchase from Ford and I will never use Fette Ford as a car dealer. Anyone out there in NJ area avoid Fette Ford at all cost, they are the most rude and unresponsive car dealership you will ever encounter.

@fordvideoguy is there anything I should do on my end to ensure that my price is protected and Fette Ford doesn't attempt to steal my order?

Thank you in advance.

This thread reads like a situation where the dealer did not co-sign a buyer's order. The customer has questions and the dealer has no answers. Frustration is an excellent choice in the thread title.

Let all My23 MTC posters beware of a dealer who does NOT give the customer a co-sign order. Thank you Long McArthur and @fordvideoguy. I sleep easy at night knowing my truck will be sold at the agreed upon price the day I placed my order and that LM is a transparent broker.

Let shady, dishonest and greedy Ford employees reading threads in this forum beware that informed customers post in these forums and know a lot about Ford models and the programs and documents involved in the selling and buying process.

This is kind of worrisome. If they did not put your order through the COVP or ROVP systems your truck will probably not be built.

Buy a Ridgeline like I did and NEVER look back (at least not until Ford can get their act together).
After reviewing the pros and cons of a Ridgeline and asking actual owners about their trucks I'd rather own a higher trim F-150. I can haul/tow more and have better technology on board for the same price range.

For the record, the F-150 has had their "act together" for 43 consecutive years and is the best selling vehicle in the world over that time span.

Non Ford fans can go to the back of the line.

Something I plan to share Tuesday night in how to instruct your dealers how to check for ROVP approval.

Here is where they need to go to find the approval:

1. cni.dealerconnection.com and login

2. Click on Maverick Lead to Order Program

Ford Maverick Frustrated/tired QQ54dTcTpjBh83qt038gjMejQ0-XzT5o1uG1ZrvJE7VxjB77bQ

3. Click on Orders

4. Enter your order number, click Submit

5. Take a pic of the approval with the order number

If that does not say approval or they can't find it, your order will not be scheduled and is more than likely why your order says "Unscheduled-Balance Out"

Actually you are quite wrong. First, if the OP wanted a full size pick up with all that towing capability they would not be looking at a Maverick. 2nd, I am a big fan of the F150, if I wanted a full size pick-up. But NO you can not get an F150 anywhere near the price of a high end Ridgeline ($44K) with the same options and equipment. You cant even get a Ranger with the same equipment/price as a Ridgeline. I have been buying Fords For decades but stories like this just suck. Lesson over.

Your dealer is a bad one you paid a deposit so contract law may be in your favor and you already know about price protection.Stop calling them go there in person at their when they have other customers and be vocal about your complaints

No thanks! Overpriced mid-size truck that has no place in my world (n)

BTW: if you are NEVER looking back, why do you COME BACK and post about it? 🙃

My wife and I just bought a Ridgeline Black Edition 3 weeks ago, loaded for MSRP. I also own a 2017 F150 XLT, 302A, crew cab, 3.5EB, max tow, 6.5' bed, 4x4. MSRP 5 years ago $52K, MSRP today $59K. MSRP on the Ridgeline was $46,690. I would consider my F150 to be a mid level trim, not higher like a Lariat, King Ranch, or Limited. The Ridgeline is for my wife to drive. It's bigger than a Maverick, but way smaller than my F150. I don't have a problem with driving the F150, I love it. She does have problems with driving it. She loves the Ridgeline, and so do I. I wish it could have been the loaded Maverick XLT we ordered 11-26-21, because it would have been $13K less money, but she was tired of waiting on Ford to build it. She is driving a brand new truck with all the new safety features new vehicles have, vs. a 1997 Jeep Wrangler with ABS, and 2 front airbags. Everybody knows Jeep Wranglers of that vintage are not what you want to have a wreck in. That's the best thing about her buying a Ridgeline 3 weeks ago, or waiting who knows how much longer for Ford to build our Maverick, let alone get it shipped to our KY dealer.
