I think it's going to be an easy fixer. The big problem is going to be lack of parts. Maybe the body shop can find a used tailgate. At least with my insurance company, they want to fix everything with used parts and/or aftermarket parts which are unobtanium for a Maverick.
We tested the Santa Cruz and the Ridgeline, the same day. This, after we gave up on getting our Maverick anytime in the next year. The Cruz was a premium package. It drove good, but had a lot of wind noise, due to having a big set of crossbars on the roof. They were asking $4K ADM. The Ridgeline...
We did the same. Got a Black Edition in sonic gray pearl. Way more money, but at least it was MSRP, not some some crazy $5K-$10K ADM that lots of Ford dealers are asking for Mavericks. Put down $500 deposit, and got it about 3 weeks later.
The 1st Mavericks I ever saw were at Pinnacle Ford, in Nicholasville, KY, back last November. They had a black one and a white one. One still had a dealer sticker from Michigan on it. They were both similar optioned XLT AWD's. Funny thing, one was about $7K over MSRP, the other about $8500. So...
When I 1st started reading this post, I thought we needed to let our dealership know we weren't going to take our's, if we ever got scheduled. But I think I'll wait after reading the exceptions list. Not too worried about the Ford dealers, they will survive.
My wife and I just bought a Ridgeline Black Edition 3 weeks ago, loaded for MSRP. I also own a 2017 F150 XLT, 302A, crew cab, 3.5EB, max tow, 6.5' bed, 4x4. MSRP 5 years ago $52K, MSRP today $59K. MSRP on the Ridgeline was $46,690. I would consider my F150 to be a mid level trim, not higher...
Yes , it was msrp. They did have a $699 doc fee, though. Most dealers around here have them, anwhere from $250 to $899. Financing was through a local good credit union we were already members of. Loan rate was 2.99% for up to 75 months, no early payoff penalty. Neil Huffman Honda, Frankfort, KY...
We got the email. Two hours later we left to pick up my wife's new Honda Ridgeline black edition, in sonic gray pearl. She put down $500 3 weeks ago on a stock order that no one had reserved yet. It was built last week and made it to Frankfort, KY this morning. No shady dealing from Neil Huffman...
What I think is the issue with Frankfort Ford's crooked dealing, is the $5K upcharge. They were going to get that whether it was financed through them, or aircooled paid cash. All of the armchair quarterbacking here saying how that aircooled should of handled these sleazebags, is ridiculous.
We haven't received one yet. It probably doesn't matter anyway, because my wife put down a $500 reserve on a Ridgeline, that's scheduled for production this week or next. Salesman said they usually get them 2-3 weeks after they are built. As long as the Honda dealer doesn't try any of the...
Yes , It is real. We have KY Farm bureau insurance on our property. They have a $500 rebate on Maverick, F150, and Super Duties. It varies from year to year. I have gotten it on new Chevy trucks in the past.
Our ordered Maverick is an XLT Area 51 also. Personally, I think I would prefer she got a Maverick, but she is losing hope of getting hers this year. Where did you get your Tucson, and did you have to pay over MSRP? Speaking of Kain Ford, I called twice to talk about a new Maverick with 2...
Congrats on getting your Maverick. My wife informed me last night, she was going for a Santa Cruz Limited, if we can get one for MSRP. She wants sage green. MSRP is $41,500. I don't know how that's going to play out. We'll see. What trim & color is your Mav. I'll keep a lookout for it when I...
Our email came through 12:10am eastern. At least it confirms Ford has our email address right. I wandered if the late hour had anything to do with how far down the totem pole we were. We ordered 11/26/21, XLT Lux, 360, AWD, FX4, 4K, soft rollup tonneau, sliding window, mud flaps. Added full size...
So, it looks to me like we won't know if our Maverick will be a 2022 build until the week before the '23 builds order book open up. That's a long time till mid August. A lot of water can go over the dam in 5 months.
