Ya I’ve had mine a year and it has some decent opps. It’s a work truck and so
Affordable I don’t care that much. Plus once the first one happens it takes stress. Heck mine can with a scratch and a small ding. I wanted to make the dealer fix it but I knew it wasn’t the last and I really like my sales guy. It was my fault I didn’t even look at the truck. I grabbed the keys. He said let’s go over it. Me being a smart ass said “it’s a truck I’m out.” lol

My Wife ,unfortunately even with remote entry, she had the key flipped out on the remote ,and when she opened the door caught the paint above door handle.
So keep locked in close position when opening door, or hold sn other hand.

My first was from hurricane Milton, a few small scratches from roof awning. Was more upset from the truck than the roof?

If that's just a scratch, not a dent, it can be buffed out with a product from an auto parts store or Amazon. I've done that. My truck was scratched by dead limbs that extended out over the pavement. The scratches disappeared!! There are several scratch remover products available.

Forget insurance you have 500 or 1k deductible. Going have to paint both doors for a color match with that color. Things that like this make me sick, sorry, you don't have to get rid of you wife if like her.

Yeah, but it wasn't done by your spouse or significant other. Than posting warning yet the trucks have been out for 3 years and thousands sold and I bet not many have had these results or posted warnings of it.

There comes a time for accountability. Common sense is if you have metal in your hand keep it away from paint, it's pretty simple philosophy.

I'm guessing she was either under the influence or distracted trying to do two things at once. Or she was getting back at her husband in another way.

Don't get me wrong the first scratch on a new vehicle, especially one you are fond of, is sometimes unbearable. It happens chances are many more and some can be rubbed out or masked. Either way in the end they all will get scratched in do time.

The only scratch our 2022 Maverick got was a tech attempting to complete a recall on the side air bags. He put a deep scratch across the top of dash. And you know it, the dealership had to replace the dash. From this scratch, we got a brand new 2024 Maverick. When they replaced the dash, it was discovered to have black mold growing on the firewall insulation - it was totally black.
We pushed back against Ford Corporate and got a brand new 2024 Maverick, no out of pocket expense.

Mine got a scratch on the hood within an hour of bringing it home...I guess one of the barn cats thought it looked comfortable. I just cussed at the cat and thought to myself "Well at least that's out of the way."

Wife not allowed to open the door to my Maverick because her wedding ring will scratch the paint when she grabs the handle. Her Odyssey is absurd on the drivers do.

People think I’m being a gentleman always opening the door for her….

I prefer a key cuz I am old school. Key in right hand and open door with left hand, even if you are a lefty. Is she a lefty?
