Hey Mike Douglas, Iām in Oakland too. Near Mills College. Got a ā24 XLT.
Would love to check out your Tremor.
Hope to hear back.
All for now, Malcolm Davis
Still donāt understand why Ford is still stuck in the yesteryear instead of including keyless entry and push button start on the Maverick as standard equipment. The key is a royal pain in the arse in my opinion. I truly hate the dang thing.
Hello-not trying to be a smart-Ass, but not parking under a tree or use a pop-up tent might help. I have a soft cover as well and just blast with hose every now and then.
Good luck mate
My 2024 XLT Hybrid had 20 miles on it when I picked it up. I wondered about why so many. Then I thought about how long it sat after production at the factory, the time on the carrier to the dealership, and the wait on the dealership lot. With all the low 12 volt battery issues in the hybrid, Iām...
I also installed a permanent voltage gauge with switch. The pos flooded acid battery that came with the truck would drop to 11.6 volts.
The new replacement AGM stays around 12.6 volts after sitting for about 3-4 days.
Go figure?
Installed MotorCraft AGM November 30, 2024.
No issues since.
Pisses me off that I needed to spend $229 to fix a new vehicle with less than 1k miles on it!
First Ford Iāve owned in over 50 years-makes me think maybe this Maverick of mine may wear out before I get it paid off.
Hope not!
Hey Yāall,
I just came across a National Electric Code (NEC) 551- 42 - 4 ( I think) that might actually apply to convincing Ford to upgrade Maverick batteries to AGM. The code states that āflooded acid batteries ā cannot be placed in a passenger compartment.
I found this on a search of battery...
Last weekk, I firewallI mounted and connected a Noco Genius 2 amp to the posts under the hood (like others on this site) and it seems to be working fine, so far.
Purchased new 2000 Tacoma SR5 Extended Cab, sold with 99,000 miles. The Maverick hybrid interior is an improvement, but on the reliability side the jury is still out. Took delivery on new XLT on 9/23/24 and was at dealership service for four days last week for the deep sleep issue. Hmmm ā¦
Dang! Thatās a major big deal with the safety rules/laws. I had no idea how dangerous it is to be in the back seat in a rear-ender.
Thanks so much for the information.
