Absolutely unacceptable service. Contact Ford Corporate and push back.
With our first Maverick, 2022, our local dealer corrected a recall on front side airbags, in this process the tech scratched the dash. They replaced the dash, however, after that, we experienced a very foul odor in which was...
The only scratch our 2022 Maverick got was a tech attempting to complete a recall on the side air bags. He put a deep scratch across the top of dash. And you know it, the dealership had to replace the dash. From this scratch, we got a brand new 2024 Maverick. When they replaced the dash, it was...
The windshield was the original from production line. This issue is in most 2022-2023 Mavericks and Bronco Sports. This is a production quality failure.
Keep pushing Ford Corporate about this issue. Completely bypass the dealership.
Our local dealership did keep us in a loaner throughout this entire process of seven months until corporate completely replaced our Maverick, at their expense. We didn't pay a cent for the loaner vehicle the entire...
Keep an eye on the leak. There can be damage behind the firewall in the insulation and could possibly turn into black mold. Our local dealership replaced the dash as a tech scratched it completing some recall work. The smell was exposed at that time and got worse over time. The moisture killed...
Totally insane and it was challenging. I was not giving in to their incompetence and poor quality. We love the Maverick. But they needed to do the right thing, stand behind their products.
A lot more should stand up to corporate. And we didn't have an attorney.
Not suggesting that at all. But as a previous robot programmer, it is required to conduct quality checks per every ten parts for specs. Well, apparently this was not being done. It the program gets off by as little as a mm, this will cause a leak.
The older Maverick is now sitting at corporate...
After communicating seven months, our request for a new replacement of our 2022 Maverick from the black mold smell, Ford Corporate finally did the right thing for us. Brand new 2024 Maverick.
But yes, this was a huge flaw in the programming for the sealing of the windshield on the production...
At this point, there is still no recall on this black mold issue.
Ford Corporate moved our 2022 Maverick up to Michigan lot and it smells worse than ever.
When the rollback came to collect this Maverick, the driver gagged from the strong mold smell.
Has anyone dealt with this black mold issue of leaking at bottom of windshield into the cabin area?
We recently experienced this issue with our 2022 Maverick. The smell was so horrible that it was making me sick to ride in it. Burning in throat and nose and eyes.
This was black mold in the...
We already contacted the RAV department. We are expecting a new replacement Maverick (in which we have placed the order) with zero out of pocket. This is a fair request, as this mold issue is not of our fault but on the Ford production poor quality checks. It is time for Ford to own up and take...
We will not pay for their mistakes. We are fighting for the principal of this issue. Calling them out to take responsibility for their poor quality checks prior to shipping the final product.
Understand that. But we are in this for the principal of this issue and a replacement Maverick 🙄. Seeking no cost out of pocket just switching titles at the bank against the original loan. Almost there 🫣
Ford corporate has poor communication and lacking of acknowledging this issue. No recalls made. Our Maverick has been at the dealership since the first week of April 2024. Still trying to communicate a reasonable offer to Ford. We have expressed our thoughts for a new replacement Maverick. This...
