My phone just updated the night before last. So I'm guessing that most of the Androids will get the update very soon. I was beginning to worry thinking that we Android users would not going to get it. So I was pleasantly surprised yesterday morning

The update looks a bit nicer, but is poorly designed. Why did they push all the actionable stuff way down and behind the new floating menu? You have to scroll up to lock and unlock. There is so much wasted real estate on the top.

The "next departure" is poorly worded. I was told by Ford people it meant the time when you've scheduled a remote start time.

I don't like the new app. Hard to get the service portion to open. I see the wrench on the bottom right. It is right over the square on my phone that makes the screen veiw smaller. I had to try it 4 times to get it open without shrinking the screen size. Why could'nt they leave it the way it was. Don't see why they got to keep changing it. Waste of money having someone redesigning the app. Could use the time and money on more important things.

Yes, one day checked the app and all was different. I also have the Lincoln Way app and it too has "updated". Kinda liked the older version but what's a consumer to do...

Came here about to ask about this. It's indeed poorly worded if that's what it means. When you create a scheduled remote start, it's clearly asking you to give it a start time. And then the home screen displays that as departure time, which is entirely different. I work for a large saas company and I have to flag silly UI mistakes like this all the time. It's crazy how many layers of approval choices like this can slip through.

Got the update during a long road trip last week.
Each fillup I use the app to log the OLM % and miles remaining, along with fillup figures.

Despite the long highway miles ICE usage 95% of the time - it caught my attention the OLM% wasn't dropping that fast - just figured huh, it likes the ICE running constantly better than intermittently.

Then happened to check on truck screen after looking at tire pressure, which as usual had small changes - but for OLM truck was much lower, app didn't update, despite mileage and DTE and % full and PSI being updated, not the OLM% and distance.

Finally did after return home, last fillup Sun in St Louis was truck 40%, but app 48%, and of course the 4800 miles remaining. Mon/Tue dropped to 38% in app finally.

ETA:
Just looked thru the Maintenance Schedule given in the app - in case they included some of the items the 25MY added to the list.
Noticed they actually skip the 50K service, and 70K, 110K, 130K, 170K, 190K.

EETA: Actually confirmed it's the website online version too.

Those are the normal items 10K services that have nothing extra added like cabin or engine filters.

WTF? When I open the app now, it just shows a Ford logo and nothing else.

EDIT: It finally gave me a chance to log in. I'm not sure why it logged me out. Now I see it shows my actual truck for the main image.

Because then software developers wouldn't have a paycheck.

I regret to say I've been at companies where "interface redesign projects" were de rigeur. Almost always, they were prompted by supercilious IT types, incorporated little to no customer input (and that which they didn't like, they'd haughtily dismiss).

And the new interface "launches" were self-congratulatory affairs that were done and cleaned up by the time the rest of us had to work with the predictably unhappy customers.

The new FordApp is hot garbage. Poorly designed, buggy. They could have chosen to incorporate customer feedback (which Ford occasionally does quite well in other areas) and not just pursue a mindless agenda of mOAR DatA sCRaPInG, but nah.

Are you sure it's not the deep sleep issue? No interior lights when you climb in? More prevalent with colder temperatures.

Are you sure it's not the deep sleep issue? No interior lights when you climb in? More prevalent with colder temperatures.
I’m sure. 25MY, AGM battery, never deep sleep issues or symptoms. Between 6:30-8:30am eastern time, remote start rarely works. Great before and after. Seems like they’ve got limited server capacity or cell network issues and they’re not able to support the number of clients that they have.
