China wants - China gets. Mark this down - China will NOT be waiting 300-400-500 days to get one either. It is called LEVERAGE and they have it all - chips for starters. Never in my almost 76 years did I think we would abandon American values and have another country get where China has gotten - almost has control over us … not political, just pure facts.

We've owned two Edge's. I'd buy an Edge hybrid in a heartbeat. Ford is surrendering the mid-size SUV market to the competition. The Escape is smallish and not as comfortable as the Edge and many of us don't need or want the size of the Explorer. Stupid Ford!!!!

Aside from the awd hybrid version which is the most expensive im sure, i dont see much other than a underpowered suv with a bunch of tv screens all over it.

I mean they do have times our poplulation, half of which can be used as defacto slaves. Plus they have a similar level of natural resources. I blame their boom in economic power compared to our stagnation on the simple fact that America in general pretends or atleast wants to appear like we dont beleive in total subjugation and slavery. Over there if there was say a local dispute like at the school board level on books or something. If someone started yelling at a meeting they would just be met with a bat to the head. After they wake up, if they want to go ho e they are just told to change their vote or get the bat again and wake up in a educational labor facility.

For the most part it works and everyone stays in line, but they dont use words like freedom very often over there.

Different markets different products.

American buyer demands are much different than South America, Europe and China. The F150 is the best selling vehicle in the US and not much else for a reason, we like big vehicles while they are seens as an extravagance in other countries.

Why continue to sell a car that no one wants anymore? Automakers make their money at scale. Manufacturing a mid range vehicle at sub 100k is just not gonna make sense in the long run. They are making room for vehicles that sell and bring in the cash.

Compare the sales numbers and "growth" of the Edge vs f150

I posted not for the Edge vehicle but rather the technology that's in it and not available in any US Ford vehicles. Added some pictures to the first post.
