I don't have to tell friends and family anything since I'm driving a new Santa Cruz while I wait for my hybrid Lariat. They all know I've ordered a Maverick and, like many of you, have been jerked around by Ford. I simply got tired of being treated like garbage by Ford and am driving what I...
I'm still waiting on my ordered Maverick. Meanwhile, I've been driving my new Santa Cruz for several months and love it. I doubt I will ever see my first day ordered hybrid Maverick.
After driving a Santa Cruz I was overwhelmed by the difference between it and the Maverick. The interior quality, fit, finish, technology, and comfort are far superior to the Maverick. It looks and rides like a high-quality vehicle. The Maverick looks like a cheap pickup compared to the...
As I wait for my 23 Lariat hybrid I'm beginning to look at the Santa Cruz. At first, I didn't like the looks at all but it is growing on me. I'm going to drive one in a couple of days. I know it's more $, but not that much more than my loaded Lariat. I know the fuel economy isn't as good but...
I'm really close to switching my Lariat hybrid to the 2.0 AWD. If I only knew if or when I'd get the hybrid and when I could expect the 2.0. Tough decision!!
We've owned two Edge's. I'd buy an Edge hybrid in a heartbeat. Ford is surrendering the mid-size SUV market to the competition. The Escape is smallish and not as comfortable as the Edge and many of us don't need or want the size of the Explorer. Stupid Ford!!!!
I agree with those that think Ford has a pretty good idea of how many 23 hybrid Mavericks they will build this year. They should let those that ordered know if they will get their Mavericks or not. All of us that ordered deserve to know if we're getting our Maverick or not. If not, we can...
Ford will build the number of hybrids it needs to meet the average milage requirements for their total sales. They have no desire to build more, regardless of the number of orders.
My salesman says that my first day ordered priority 10 Lariat hybrid has a very good chance of being built. When I asked about switching to EB he suggested waiting a couple of months to see what happens to my order. I'm trying to decide exactly when to make the switch if I don't hear anything...
If my first day September ordered 23 Lariat hybrid doesn't happen there will not be a 24 order for me. I will not put up with this crap for another year. I'll be done with Ford's lack of honesty and transparency. The used market is coming down and I'll opt for a good used mid-size truck before...
We’ve owned two Edge’s and they are very comfortable road cars. Much more so than the Escape. Many don’t need a three row SUV. Seems to me a hybrid Edge would be perfect for many.
Thanks to all for sharing your problems. I am sorry you are having such serious problems with a new vehicle. That should never happen. Minor issues and tech glitches are to be expected but nothing of this nature is acceptable.
I am seriously considering switching my first-day ordered hybrid...
I agree with the many that said that Ford knows how many hybrid Mavericks they need to build to meet the requirement. They plan to build only that many since it is a low-profit vehicle for them. They can get away with this because there is hardly any competition. Ford knows many will wait...
Wow! So sorry this happened, OP. As many have said, I'd contact Ford first then a good lawyer. You have rights and deserve your truck. I wish you all the best in your fight for what is fair.
As many have said, Ford knows what they are doing and how many hybrid Mavericks they need to sell to meet the requirements. They have no intention of producing more of a marginally profitable hybrid Maverick than they need regardless of customer demand. They know that a percentage of those...
I knew before I ordered my Lariat hybrid that there was a risk. I put down $1,000 and ordered on the first day which should have guaranteed delivery of my Maverick. Because of Ford's system of which order gets built, no one really knows if first-day-ordered Mavericks will get built this year...
I'm in my 70's and I embrace new technology. I've never owned a hybrid and fully expect gas prices to rise substantially. I trust the technology and I'm looking forward to playing with all of the aspects of hybrid driving. I'm ready to downsize from my F150 and get something that will be...
