Why I am leaving the Ridgeline

I really like my brother's Ridgeline, and strongly considered buying one, until I saw the EPA fuel mileage figures... And my brother says he gets "less than EPA estimates" with his Ridgeline. That (plus the price) turned me off.

Now, having driven over 3K miles in my hybrid Maverick Lariat, I'm extremely happy with the decision I made. I really like the Maverick - even better than the Ridgeline.

I owned a Ridgeline for 10 years. I'd be amazed if the Maverick is actually better than a new Ridgeline... but it is $10k less and gets better mpg. Maverick fits my needs a little more. However if my dealer tries to screw me with cost above msrp I'll be visiting a Honda dealership that day. I do appreciate your perspective on this post

I just re-read my last line... It almost reads like I was claiming the Maverick is a better vehicle than the Ridgeline, and I was definitely NOT saying that...

I intended to convey that "I personally, like owning my Maverick better than I think I would have liked owning a Ridgeline." If someone had given me a Ridgeline, I would certainly have enjoyed it! But given the price difference, plus the improved fuel efficiency, and the "better than expected" comfort and driving dynamics of the Maverick Lariat, I'm quite happy with the decision to get the Maverick. Others may not agree, and that's fine.
