Several trips to the dealer complaining about interior lights, & door sensors. Posts here suggest I replace the battery with an AGM type, I do that and issues disappear. I am told by tech that Ford had recalls on several models to replace factory battery with AGM but not my 22 Mexican built Hybrid. Figures Ford won't cover this issue.

I assume you're still running your original battery and you only have a few months of warranty left. Perhaps your battery will fail their tests before you lose your warranty, maybe by then, they will have used up any remaining FLA (BXT type) battery inventory and you will get an AGM replacement. This is my hope for mine anyway, but I've got a year more to go, so maybe a better chance.

AGM battery is $150 installed by AAA with a three-year replacement warranty so you’ll get another one for free so that’s 75 bucks per battery for the next six years for two batteries just do it. You’ll be happy as a lark.

Your issues would have disappeared with a new FLA battery too. For awhile.

1 recall on 1 model with 1 production run that used FLA batteries instead of the AGM that rest of the production runs got.

The Ecoboost model. Guess where it was made too?
2 guesses where that bad FLA battery was made - I'm betting you'll get it right.
Guess who controls the quality level - and where they are?

what does where it was built have any bearing on your warranty claim?

The AGM batteries used in the Maverick are probably not made in Mexico - unfortunately. Most times I find the Mexican made products in my house/garage better than those made in the other two major North American countries.
