I gave in - I removed my Lariat Lux package and CoPilot 360. Hopefully that will help speed things up a teensy tiny bit…

Chris: I agree with you, for example I do not think Tim at LM is so wonderful because he sucked up so many orders around the country without disclosing that he did not have enough allocations to fill those orders timely.

He took orders from June and July that are not built yet even though people who ordered from other dealers in Sept and Oct are already driving their Mav. It's not right.

LM now has over 500 orders and their line is still 300-400 long. Now the chip shortage is getting worse. People who should have been already driving their Mavs if they ordered from their local dealer like I did, now have to decide to drop lux or the safety features of 360 to get built. Compromising my family's safety for blind spot and tech we are now used to is not an option. Injury attorneys could come after LM if they did not properly disclose the allocation process, and then got into a bad wreck after dropping 360 in order to get built.

Anyone who is still on permanent wait status should have been advised by their dealer that their line is too long and they should order from someone else. But Tim and the others are salesmen who may not disclose something that will make them lose a sale and bonuses.

Ford should build your Maverick based on date of order, no matter which dealer you use. Their attempt to be fair to dealers with allocations, is very unfair to buyers when others are able to cut the line in front of them.
So now it is Tim's fault!!!! sheesh.

How do you tell if you'll have delays after production. I got the impression from the update that even though some Mavericks will have a build date for production, that they'll still sit after production while they wait for chips.

I got my order confirmation on 6/17. I finally got the production email on 12/2 that I was set for 1/24. Once I got on the production page it shows 1/28 and a few days to build. There's no update yet on it being built or shipped, but I see an estimated delivery date of 3/7/22.

Anyone with experience, does this seem like something I'll get soon, or is the chip shortage issue still in play for my build? I did an XLT with eco boost lux package, tow package, and off road package. and a couple other smaller add ons. I'm hoping I'll get it soon, but the issue of trucks being produced but still sitting for chips has me concerned.
" but I see an estimated delivery date of 3/7/22 " Where did you see that at?

Not exactly a random dice roll, it's fair to say that early orders have a much higher probability to get produced than later orders.
Produced maybe, but not finished and delivered. Have any of the Jan 03/Jan 10 build week victims buyers received anything official from Ford? I haven't. Last I heard from Ford, mine should be arriving on the 21st. Wonder why no information when they are clearly sending scheduling emails out?

That was directed at what he was saying about it not mattering whether someone ordered early (June, July, August) or Late (Sept-Dec). I was just saying it's pretty obvious that early orders are much more likely to have their vehicle delivered before the later orders. This is considering that I haven't heard of anyone past August taking delivery of a hybrid. And if there is anyone, they are few and far between. It definitely doesn't seem to be a random dice roll.

I 100% agree with you that Fords lack of helpful communication is annoying.

That's my build except I also have tonneau cover. I wrote my salesman to ask if I removed that if he thought I'd get a faster build. Maybe so.
Update. My salesman didn't recommend doing anything to my order. In fact none of his customers have received a build date yet.

Haven't seen a "new" car on the lot of any dealership near Kerrville, TX. Lots of very nice "used" vehicles for sale near "new" car prices ;)

2005 Chevy Silverado, sounds like it's giving up.
Im sicker then f#$% and no hybrid yet for me (August 10) with the lack of care from Ford & constan chip shortages, I think I'm going to die before my hybrid comes in 😞 🤢 🤮 🤧 All jokes aside I deserve a truck! I pass on pretty good deals on a hybrid elantra and does get 53 mpg.

What dose this mean for me? I am confused? I ordered on Oct 13th 2021 Xlt, co360, fx4, spray in, Awd, 4k tow, sun roof, rear window, and bed extender, alto blue.
I got an email over a week ago stating my build will be March 13th. Is that still good? I got a Vin too?
I ordered Oct 28th and have yet to even be assigned a VIN...

I had ordered on June 18th but in October there were posts about dealers not imputing the orders in correctly. I just happen to call into my dealer to speak with a sales manager and found out that the order was not placed properly. After telling my dealer about ROVP and the lead to Maverick program. About a few days later ford finally confirmed my order on October 12th.

Really sucks because none of this was my fault and completely out of my control. They should do the same thing that ford is doing for Mach e and lightning where it’s all online and don’t even have to go to a dealership. They messed things up and now my order went in much later than it was originally. Any other October orders out there? Do you think we will be pushed to 2023?
So I never got a confirmation email after placing my order at the dealership...however I have called Ford directly and had my order confirmed as having been placed by them. Was told last week I should get a VIN assigned within 3 weeks. But again, never got an email.

Ford communication around this whole process is horrendous. Doing this whole process online would be so so so much better.

Find consolation in not being alone; plenty of others (including your truly) under the same cone of silence when it comes to receipt of any e-mails.

Person on the other end of the Ford phone acknowledged that it's an unfortunately baked-in, known thing but could offer no further explanation nor any resolution. Early on the Ford person I was speaking with guesstimated no e-mails for 40% of people with orders, but I strongly suspect that number to be wildly inflated and chose to believe either I misheard or she misspoke and meant to say 14%.
