I have 99,860 Miles on mine and haven't experienced any vibration during acceleration and no grease leaking from the boots.
I wonder if it's from the way they're driven. Do you often get on power mid corner, or do you wait until it's straightened out?

If Ford is replacing them free of charge for an extended period of time. It's because enough of them have experienced early failure for them to know that they weren't as robust as they should be.

Oh I agree, I was just trying to think of a reason why some people are blowing through sets by 30K and some aren't at all.

Should it matter? I for one don't drive my Maverick any differently than my previous vehicles. Never had a CV fail on one of them, even with 150k+ on the ODO. That car with 150k on the clock was a Toyota Hybrid. Maverick passenger side axle went at around 22k miles.

I already had mine replaced under warranty, at 30K miles. Now it needs replacement again at 53K miles because it's leaking. It will be free due to being under the 60K mileswarranty. I also have a 125K mile extended warranty. Will this CSP come after my Extended Warranty expires (at, 125K miles) and still be free?

I drive like an old granny, the only time I get on it is on an entrance ramp to the interstate

Luck, it probably often starts with a leaky boot.

Could be a few reasons. But I'm thinking the most likely is that quality control during manufacturing was inconsistent . Some components met the standards. But others didn't meet the standards but it was either not detected or were still deemed "good enough" . In that case 2 vehicles may be driven identically. But one will have early axle failure, but the other won't.

Thanks for the reply. I only have 15k on mine, but if these are gonna wear pre-maturely, seems anybody with a Mav built in the timeline should be offered the replacements.

Only pic I saw was the screenshots added by OP.

EDIT: OK, I see the terms at the top. I've got 7 years or 150k (lol) to go.

Now the task is when will ford cover all the model years instead of a date range of MY22 only. Thats the question I would have, I haven’t had an issue but I am covered, imo all the others should also

They probably want to see if the exact same supplier with the exact same design and QC checks magically provided better versions that will avoid a recall.

Seems they would have some stats showing that is a hopeless desire.

Or they've done the math and so far the 23/24MY owners seem to be less high mileage, and many more may just make it past the warranty periods.

Might be due to limited inventory for now. We shall see, I guess.

What if I already have them replaced and need them done again but are no longer covered by warranty?
