well, they would, but the issue would be when you're at/near 5y/60k you get 1 CSP replacement and if it is 'used' when instead it could've been factory powertrain, that would be pretty damn annoying.

hopefully this is worrying about nothing and instead of the CSP, any truck under factory warranty or Ford ESP simply uses that warranty instead of the CSP 1 time replacement. but, I don't really know that.
Yeah maybe they just need to word it better something along the lines of 'CV axle will be replaced if faulty under drivetrain warranty and if necessary will also be replaced (but just one time) after drivetrain warranty is exceed and before 10yr/150k miles'.

From what I read in the notice, It's good for 10 years, or 150,000 miles, which ever comes first.
Correct …I just got off the phone with my dealer. They’re actually going to be taking my truck next weekend to get this corrected.
Please let me know if they replace these for you. Seeing your truck is lowered. My dealer gave me a hard time about looking into a noise I had up front, because my truck is lowered as well.
my truck is lowered as well… my dealer already contacted me and has me taking my truck to them October 1st to get mine fixed..

Yes they actually had my truck in Monday for the battery recall and I asked them to check my cv joints bc I’m getting a weird vibration.. they confirmed then they called me today with the recall for it how ironic..

I have the H&R super sports in the box. I had them on for a year. I liked them, except the front was to high. To me it seemed the front looked higher then the rear.

After 10 yrs or 150K it's likely down to normal wear & tear anyway, or at least almost impossible to prove if manufacturing defect.

You saw the picture?

If you are past 150K, get it done by next summer.
The N In the recall number indicates that it's an extended warranty. And the part is to be replaced if the symptom is present. If it hasn't failed yet, we're not supposed to replace it. Hopefully, yours will fail before the time or mileage. If already above the miles, then it's by the date in the recall. As one person already indicated, if it hasn't failed within the time or the mileage indicated, their logic is that it has survived its normal expected life anyway.

The axle itself. So if the boots tear, the axle will be replaced too
Possible that if it's only a torn boot and not any shaking symptoms that the repair would not be covered. Boots can get torn by hitting potholes/objects or tow truck drivers who don't know how to chain up a front end. Torn boots do for sure end up causing internal problems but a torn boot in itself may not be a covered warranty item.

Question, so is valid Only for the vehicles built during the date ranges noted or any any model year out of the normal power train warranty covered?

I was getting a front right vibration (20K Miles) and just changed mine out to the beefier Tremor model axles. Did it ourselves cause I have a 2 & 1/2" lift and figured Ford would say that was why the failure. Didn't take that long, bout an hour & a 1/2 to 2 for each side. Driver's side is a little more difficult. Plenty of videos out there showing how.
