TbH, I just won’t get another vehicle. It’s the combo of truck like attributes, good value, and fuel economy that I don’t think is matched out there.

Agreed, I just don't think the "value" part will hold up much longer -- Ford jacks up the price again and they're going to put me right out of the market for a hybrid value, I'll have no choice but to look at something else. If there IS anything else to look at.

I'm not in any real need at this time. I have a 2020 Ford Edge that works for me, but the hybrid Lariat Maverick would work perfectly for my situation. I have no desire for mid or full size trucks. The only other small truck comparable is the Santa Cruz and they do not have a hybrid. Also, I prefer the truck look of the Maverick, as well as price. We got 3 Mavericks orders in at our dealership just yesterday. Some people will be happy owners very soon!

I will keep hoping and waiting for my hybrid XLT. I realize now I am very unlikely to see it in '23. If Toyota comes out with a hybrid uni body trucklet based on the RAV4 I will gladly order that instead.

My 2014 Camry has been reliable and has a lot of life left in it. I like a Toyota, Fords have frustrated me many times over the years but I was going to give this Maverick a chance.

As I have a roll over Hybrid I'm hoping Its actually built and delivered to me. Since I have my F150 which I love. I have some time. Only thing in play the F150 continues to lose value, the Maverick stays the same.

Haven't thought yet about another vehicle. Really nothing out there that interests me. Mustang days are over, no chance on any kind of a sedan, maybe something like an escape...dunno.

I'll keep driving my Explorer. My hybrid on order is an eventual break-even, but the gas savings take a few years to "pay for itself".

I'll likely wait it out another year in order to get a XLT hybrid with Co-Pilot360 and hitch. My dealer placed 19 orders for a 23 model but was only allocated 10 Mavericks (plus 7 carryovers). Crossing my fingers.

I'm looking at two Ridgelines this afternoon. I ordered my 22 hybrid on 11/8 and my 23 on 9/15. My 22 is still in the system at a 99 (no VIN). I should have pulled the plug last spring. I'm being told my hybrid WILL COME this year especially since I changed the color and had a 22. My dealer also says allocations don't matter--right!?!? Knowing this, my gut says it won't be here and they have simply been trying to block me into a corner. I can wait, yet my boss is putting pressure on me to show that I've gotten a vehicle since I ordered it a year ago, yet I have nothing to show for it except paperwork.

I've been and am patient, I'm just disgusted with Ford. Their products aren't the be all, end all, and there are other fish in the sea. I was offered an XLT Eco without CoPilot at sticker price + dealer addons before they were marked up more. REALLY?? I ordered a Lariat and want the CoPilot so I didn't even give it a 2nd thought and passed. Had it had CoPilot, I might have taken it provided we could work a better deal. I meet monthly with my salesman so it's not like I'm just sitting and waiting without any info/input. My dealer says people within Ford at the dealerships are willing to fight to get their hands on a hybrid and he will NOT cancel any hybrid order that someone decided not to take. I've even asked about being put a list for one of those to the response of very close to dead air. Okay then, let the next person win! I just want to get on with my life.

Depends on a number of factors. When do they go to MY24? If summer I may stay the course I'm really looking for this by November of '23 so may see how that shakes out.

I may just go with a Santa Cruz. Especially if by that time the used market has settled and I could get a clean low mile Limited for a decent price.

Also curious what other things may be out if that happens.

But considering my build doesn't fall in any of the constraints I feel good I'll get built eventually for a '23.

If my order never comes through I'm most likely done with ever trying to buy a Ford product ever again.

sounds a lot like me. I too will keep waiting since just nothing comparable to hybrid XLT but my hopes went down quite a bit yesterday with all that bad news about hybrids not getting built. But yeah I still got my 2016 Camry and it’s solid as a rock. One of the best vehicles I’ve ever owned. If Toyota releases small hybrid truck I would def be interested

I'm on the fence on whether I'll get mine if it takes too long. I have another vehicle on order that is my long-term solution, and the Maverick Hybrid is just a gap-filler. Not that there's anything wrong with my 2018 F150...

I'm going to hope that my car is still running strong, but by that time I'm going to have enough saved up that I could pivot and get something different. Go to options would be Tacoma, Integra, WRX, bronco etc. I would likely go either Tacoma/Integra since I have a lot more faith in the reliability of Toyota and Honda (by extension Acura) than really any other brand

Are you planning to reorder and wait it out through 2024+? If it’s a different new vehicle, are you sticking to a truck or switching to something else?

I figure most of us, especially hybrids, must have an alternative plan. What’s yours?
Continue driving my '22 Maverick! I am hoping to cash in on some equity as this is a rare time in car values that we probably won't see again. Most of my interest in the Maverick is the price. You can't find pickup trucks this cheap of any kind, especially with good gas mileage. It's also my first pickup and took me out of the SUV market. Loving everything except the delays.

Wow what a question. Id say there isnt really anything currently that checks all the boxes like the Maverick. Yes Toyota is "talking" about a small fuel efficient hybrid truck - Even Hyundai Santa Cruz gets only 21 mpg so not apples to apples in regards to the hybrid. The Chicken tax is doing its job making it much more difficult for vehicle manufacturers to get a small pickup to the US market. The Ranger has been promised to come out with a hybrid - possibly a plug as well in the not so distant future - until there is direct competition I don't think you can say -" Ill just go buy something else" as there are different type of vehicles out there including full EVs but no small pickup in that price range with amazing mpg and that low of a price.

I would say I don't understand Ford - if you cant produce enough vehicles from the prior year why take MORE individual orders ??? Fulfill the outstanding orders then announce that all built vehicles will be dealer stock. It's doubtful that they will get anywhere close to filling the 23MY orders putting them even further behind for MY24. By taking orders you have obligated yourself to produce customer deliveries. Anyway, with the dismal numbers announced of how many will be produced there will be a HUGE number of upset folks even more than the end of 2022.

This seems to be the SOP for Ford - in 2022 Police Departments across the US found out when ordering Ford Explorer Police Utility - Surprise - 7 months later Ford just cancelled orders without explanation. They then told the departments they could reorder in 2023 with a 7500.00 price increase.

There has to be a better way than Ford taking a ton of orders, making as many as they can then saying whoops sorry - supply chain issues. Thanks for waiting a year, you can place another order with a price increase ...... Ford will never get caught up until they increase production, quit taking additional customer orders or people give up buying a different product.
