Had a build week of 11/8 and was super excited. I never got an email from Ford, but I know that whole system has been hit or miss with folks.
Searched my VIN and order number through Ford website and found my Maverick XL in Velocity Blue had been confirmed…
…I ordered a Cactus Gray Lariat.
My local GM is a friend and I immediately informed him of the issue. Everything on his order form was correct, but something in the system screwed up. They reviewed all of their orders and it happened to one of their employee’s orders as well.
According to Ford it has also happened to a few other folks at other dealerships.
So, have your dealer verify in their system that your order is exactly what you placed, especially if you’ve been given a build date.
Now I’m stuck in limbo, albeit at priority 1, waiting on Ford to pick up my order again.
