FIXED! - AC is ungodly loud

My hybrid's AC is loud. Like really loud. Listen at the link below. I don't know if it's is something in the high voltage and/or the compressor itself. It isn't the cabin fan. Is your hybrid's AC this loud? I have an oil change coming up. I'll be querying the dealer about this. Having some fellow hybrid owners opinions would be helpful. Aside from this loud AC my truck works perfectly...including the AC.

Mine is loud but NOTHING like that. Sounds like something is stuck or a bearing is going bad.

Yeah the AC compressor is electric, so it is a buzzer. Not the first post about this sound.

It is on MAX. Whichever will show on dash. Set on automatic. Though it can still run on max at shorter times. The compressor can also run when dash says LO. It will run to cool battery and trans when there is not enough temp differential for radiator to work well enough! Fan speed 5 insures the thing will run flat out. The condenser can swap enough BTU to cool a Small house.

I can't really guage if yours is any louder than mine from the outside - via video.
I have heard mine at a similar loudness when I used the Ford Pass App Remote Start feature.

I don't believe I have heard it that loud any other time.
I will have to try it in the next day or few.

Yes, it will be loud if you run it full speed with the hood open and door open.

It sounds louder since the ICE is not running.

My opinion is that the loudness is abnormal. My F150 Powerboost isn't loud like this at all. I doubt there is little difference between the Maverick and F150 hybrid's AC systems. I'll wait to hear the dealer's say. Too early to get bent out of shape over it.

It's loud on the Maverick without a doubt, much louder than my Camry Hybrid's (also electric AC compressor) was. I've never listened with the hood open to see if it's a loud as the OPs though.

I think it just stands out because of how quiet it is otherwise. Would be interesting to hear this next to another truck. I’ve never run mine with the hood open either…

Mine is “loud” because there is no other sound. Compared to any ICE running it is silent, relatively speaking.

I’m betting this is fine, but curious to see how it turns out.
