FIXED! - AC is ungodly loud

My hybrid's AC is loud. Like really loud. Listen at the link below. I don't know if it's is something in the high voltage and/or the compressor itself. It isn't the cabin fan. Is your hybrid's AC this loud? I have an oil change coming up. I'll be querying the dealer about this. Having some fellow hybrid owners opinions would be helpful. Aside from this loud AC my truck works perfectly...including the AC.

It is interesting that both the DB's and frequency decrease as the a/c control is turned down. Never heard anything like that before and hope never to hear it again. Good luck

Ditto, 2023 built in July. Thought it was the ICE but confirmed not and "whine" volume changes with a/c setting.

Yeah the AC compressor is electric, so it is a buzzer...

I believe so three phase scroll compressor enough btu to cool small house.

Sounds more than sufficient. And like most any modern Ford, you could hang meat in the cab!

I don't know about the AC, but in my hybrid when the big radiator fan kicks in it sounds like a small airplane taking off from outside the truck. Could probably fly an ultralight with it!

I'd rather have the cooling over engineered than under, but it was surprising the first time I heard it kick in.

You sure it was radiator fan and not engine braking?

Started the truck to cool it down while loading up the bed, it was parked.
