I've been a Falken Wildpeak fan for quite a while on my other vehicles so going to the Firestone Destination AT2 was a leap of faith but I'm glad I gave them a try. Going to the 235/70R17 gave the truck a different look and filled the wheel wells while giving a small clearance boost. The larger sidewall made for a smoother ride and the overall performance has been great including the wear.

Awesome! I have the same exact tire in the same size on my FX4 too. Glad to hear you also like them!

I have to admit, the Firestone have been the best set of tires I've ever owned.

I've put approximately 40k miles on them and the tread still looks like the day I bought them.

I hate that they don't make them in a 19" size that will fit the Lariat. Almost enough to switch wheels but not quite.

I have had these Firestone tires on about 6 weeks or so. Stock size, 225's.
They are quieter than the stock Conti's, ride is better and strangely the gas mileage improved to 23+/-, normally 21.5 city numbers. In a heavy rain on the highway, they feel much more planted, must be channeling more water out I would guess. So, a good buy I would say, not to mention they are more truckish looking-the rebates were a nice add on.

Too bad Ford and Firestone had a messy "divorce" over the Explorer rollover debacle....but that was a generation ago and I think it is high time Ford started putting Firestones back on their product from the factory again....it is like peas and carrots...they just go together.

The Firestone and Ford families are intertwined by marriage of some of the off-spring of Harvey and Henry....Edsel's son, William Clay Ford Sr. was married to Martha Firestone, Harvey Jr's daughter....close ties that endure....

Noice!! Looks great !!
Whenever these Maxxis Razers wear down I may be considering those! They were in the running when I was running my comparisons based on my criteria a few months back when I got the Razers.

I wonder if Ford and Firestone will ever kiss and make up. ? It's a shame they had a breakup over ONE Tire . Especially since BOTH of them share blame for the fiasco.
