If the front tires are showing a lot of wear, rotate them to the back tire mount position. Rear tires on FWD cars can last tens of thousands of miles longer than the front tires.
The front tires do multiple duty in comparison to the rears: steering, braking, and traction for motion. The rears are along for the ride, following closely one would hope. The do not steer, and brake a lot less, and only carry any sort of load when the bed is filled. The fronts also carry the engine/transmission weight, adding more to their burden.
Swap them to the rear, and they'll likely last 30-50,000 miles more.

I'm real curious to what air pressure you're running as center wear can be a symptom of over inflation. Knowing your pressures could help me set mine. I'm running 2# below spec since I run light loading.
My tires were at 45 psi when my truck was delivered, and based on plenty of earlier threads I am not the only one. Also, the TPMS didn't alert on that - I guess it only alerts on low?
At any rate, there's really no good reason to run anything but the recommended pressures, with the possible exception of lowering then if you're rock crawling in a 4wd tremor.

45 at delivery is shipping pressure. dealer is supposed to correct.
No one is going to convince me that factory recommendations are gospel for all conditions and loads. Adjusting pressure to get the best tire patch is best for traction and tire life.

Historically OEM tires were much better tires than what you replace them with. The local Goodyear plant employees tell me their best tires go on new cars. I bought a 1999 F150 that came with Generals. I got 85k on those and never had that mileage on the next 5 sets of tires. I just looked at the Contis on my 24 Mav and I am not sure what they are using for wear bars. The steer tires on my Superduty have very apparent wear bars. IMO when they wear down to the wear bars it's time to replace them, irregardless of mileage. I have considerable experience with Continental Motorcycle tires. They are very good tires but not high mileage. Moto tires are way softer to provide better performance. Mileage is not part of the equation, you just don't want them to slip out from under you in a curve. 😬

Hell I remember on my 2007 Hummer h3 had the factory 35" Bridgestone dueler 11 ATs on it when I traded it in at 113,000 mi in the dealer asked me if they were recently put on they still look so good.

Loved that suv, was fun as hell to drive...

What’s next windshield wipers that get 10 wipes?
I bought a Honda brand new in 2017. I turned on the wipers the first time it rained. They chattered worse than the crappiest oldest wipers I had on my '75 F-250. I was so disappointed I didn't even bother going to the dealer for replacements (which I could've since it was well within the 12-month "adjustment" warranty). Went and got some Bosch Icons.

Heck I have the factory tires on my 15 year old ram still and they look new with 40,000 miles on them.
Tires age out after 6-10 years, even if you kept the tires in your living room the entire time. I'd consider replacing them, or at least knowing that you are at a higher risk of a zipper failure or a tread delamination.

I'd prefer cheap new tires versus top-tier old tires. Pathfinder All Terrains from Discount Tire are actually pretty decent, as are Dextero DAT1s from Walmart. Some of the Dextero sizes are made in the USA.

Defender 2 tires are supposed to last forever
They wear like iron and have great traction and are quiet right down to 2/32 tread. My only complaint with Michelin tires is that they dry rot super fast, so I only recommend them if you drive like, at least 20,000 miles a year.

My tires were around 45 psi also when I got my Mav. I brought them down to a more reasonable 38 right away, figuring that the dealer didn't do that task when the truck arrived. (they also didn't fill the windshield washer reservoir, but that's Ok because I like to use the Rain-X fluid anyway).

I think my truck's arrival at the dealer was a surprise to them, and I was itching to get it in my possession.

Oh, I have the FX4, so I have the Perelli Scorpion tires, which seem to be pretty decent in wet and dry road conditions. Not really tested on off-road nor snow yet.

I just replaced the 30 year old bf goodrichs on my classic muscle car. They also still looked like new.

plenty of reason to run a few psi low.

You can’t rock crawl a Maverick tremor.

Factory Continentals at 15,000 miles.
Front tire.

Same as mine.
Likely you will be at 4/32 at 30,000.
Like mine.

The lower starting tread of only 8/32 when new is confusing people.

These tires are quite normal.
Consistent with average tire wear.

This past January I replaced the factory skins with BFG Trail Terrain (235/65/17) and I'll give some observations. Right off the bat, yes, the factory tires could pass for used tires as the tread is minimal fron the get go. When I removed at roughly 1500 miles, you could see minimal wear on the fronts but nothing alarming and the back tires showed almost zero wear.

Today I had my vehicle in for the first inspection (now I can install my livernois rather than using it as a paper weight) and the tire depths were insane at least to me. After putting 5800 on these tires, the fronts had 10/32 and the rear had 12/32 and after seeing the depth when new, I was surprised.

Agree. Too many reports from owners that do not know the starting tread depth or the tread depth when they complain about wear. Data is preferred over opinion.
What is "already worn"? 7/32?
Won't replace these Continentals with the same tire. No plans to replace them when they are new either.

Everyone has an opinion but what's not an opinion is how much better tires were available (even for an XL) for an AWD vehicle and what whatever reason (cost I'd imagine) tires that look like a spare were installed at the factory.
