I had to replace one due to puncture. Got the cheapest Firestone I could get because I had less than 10k and figured I'd just replace the Firestone with the Continentals at the same time.

In heavy rain I can feel exactly which tire is the Firestone, because it's the only one not ever so slightly slipping.
On the street or on a track, replacing only one tire can be problematic. At least change two, both front or both rears and it will prevent a mishap (don't ask me how I know (we don't have enough time) but that still might induce over-steer or under-steer potential but that is manageable. Use the other "good" tire for a full sized spare

Really good advice from RLmesc! Using a mismatched tire is almost as bad as using the "full size" spare furnished by Ford! It should only be a temporary solution.

In the last 107 days, I've put 13,100 miles on my truck. I've been very happy with the Contis. At about 10K up in WI., I picked up a nail in the left front. I had it plugged in Iron Mountain MI. Drives like it never happened (for now). ;) Pretty sure I'm gonna blast up to St. Louie and back for the IndyCar race next week. We'll see how she does.

They are too soft for any type of driving on a dirt road. I had no choice but to replace mine at 3,300 miles due to flats and cuts all over them.

Just replaced mine at 300 miles! A screw in one, supposedly too close to outside to plug, out a bunch of $$$$ on a truck I haven't even owned 3 weeks yet (!!) but feel a lot better about the Michelin Defenders, I've had them on other vehicles without issue. Just don't trust the Contis. Now

I was a member of the (Ford)Focus Fanatics. We all complained about the Continentals wearing out at the same time the warranty ended . (35k miles)
Nothings changed.
