Ok, great. Well, since the new pigtail wire colors didn't match, I connected the white to the green/white wire and the red to the green/black wire. I just located it now and clean but noticed a little condensation assuming from driving last night in the rain. Just realized I'm out of dialectic grease, so going to get that and finish this up. Fingers crossed.

I cannot find the wiring diagrams anywhere though. My first step would be to inverse the wires you have hooked up, if that doesn't work see if Forscan has that reset procedure.

Anyone figure out how to reset learned values WITHOUT using the Ford or spendy aftermarket scan tool? e.g using Forscan?

The F150 had a way via the HVAC panel. However that method is not noted in the Maverick shop manual.

Forscan Lite has it in their list of procedures on Android at least, likely iphone.
I'm sure it's in the main program list of procedures too.

Under Service - Run service functions:
Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning:
Reset the Outside Air Temperature Sensor Learned Values
Initial conditions - vehicle not moving

When I kept seeing the outdoor temp not matching the coolant and HVB temp values, I thought that had to be related and the way to go.
It changed. Still didn't match. Maybe it does now since it's called learning.

Just checked Forscan for windows, it's in there under HVAC as well.

Thanks for all of your help! I decided to rewire the pigtail to the new sensor and noticed that although I connected them, I the small locking mechanism on the pigtail was only half engaged. After pushing in the lock until it clicked I reconnected the battery and immediately the outside temperature showed up. After a drive into town and back the check engine light turned off. It was just an oversight and glad you suggested i go back and look at it again. Appreciate you all!

Ha, similar thing happened to me when I replaced my wheel speed sensor pigtail. Glad you got it working!

I totally missed this--will have to connect Forscan and take a look! Thanks for posting!
