Email received after 23 order?

I did get an email but would still like additional confirmation from Ford. Did I understand Tim @fordvideoguy to say one could get a DORA or some other kind of printout from Ford that would be detailed information of a recieved order? Is the Order Confirmation E-mail sufficient? I got one last time, waited 11 months and never did get scheduled, get a VIN, or anything else other than a few "Sorry" emails from Ford. What is the best way to get proof positive that your order is received properly and you are in the queue to have your Maverick built?

Getting an order confirmation and getting a DORA lets you know that your order is submitted but not whether or not your dealer got a COVP approval. In 2022, if that wasn't done, your order wasn't considered for scheduling. In 2023, since dealers use their allocations to get retail orders scheduled you no longer need it to be considered for scheduling. It is needed for dealers to show Ford that the order is for a real person.

I have received the email from Ford that my order has been confirmed, but not received anything from my dealership about the DORA/COVP. When I spoke with them on the phone they said they do the COVP program. Should I contact them again to get a copy of the COVP and is the COVP where my tracking number comes from?

Tim mentioned last night in his stream that of the 600-ish orders he's placed, he's only seen one ROVP approval so far. Give it some time. Those may be manually reviewed by Ford.

So I placed an order the afternoon of Monday, 9/19 and received an order confirmation email from Ford later that evening [just before midnight]. I'm ambivalent, however, as that is the only modicum of confirmation I have. The dealership gave me no paperwork, I signed nothing, there was no deposit given or requested, etc. etc. etc.

I reached out to my salesperson and they said all communication would be coming directly from Ford at this point so I started a chat session and they couldn't tell me anything without and order/sales number and suggested I contact my dealer. Upon doing so, they told me they had no order number.

...if this is the case how/why did I get an order confirmation email from Ford? The dealership must have entered/submitted something, right?

If you have the time, I would head straight to the dealer and get something in paper just in case. Remember, order banks close for 2023 TONIGHT at 10:00 Eastern time.

So how do you confirm the COVP approval? Why doesn't Ford have a better way of confirming directly to the customer that all the boxes were checked and everything was properly done? Heck, I get better confirmation when ordering a $5 item from Amazon!

I ordered a '23 at 2:45 p.m. today and received an email from Ford confirming the order at 3:03 p.m.

An new order? Not a '22 replacement that did not get made?
Sounds like FORD let the general public order before taking care of us still waiting since 2021

Find a new dealer now! Don't waste time on a deadbeat!
If you can't immediately find a great local dealer, call Long McArthur and order an ecoboost.

My profile was opted out also. Changed it yesterday but I don't think it was related to my email taking 6 days.

Maybe you guys will get yours eventually too.

I don't really need it. The dealer has sent me all the screenshots I need to know it is good. But it would be nice to not pester them for the VIN if Ford could send it directly.
