I have an odd feeling that I may be actually getting a 2024 model now. Guess I should also order a Prius too.

I don't quite understand how Ford released those % allocations without seeing the actual orders. I think they were more of a forecasted allotment that probably will be updated as orders are processed.
Ford released it with the constraints, so it's what they see themselves producing regardless of how orders come in. They know what contracts/materials they've secured to get parts produced over the next year. If they've only secured enough to produce 35% hybrid, it doesn't matter if 100% of orders come in hybrid. They don't have what it takes to produce more than 35% hybrid.

Funny enough, same down here down South. Not that we need AWD. But registering a hybrid with the state costs $200 more a year.
Indiana is like that too. Kind of sucks and i don't understand why they are penalizing people who buy hybrids

Note that'll be a lottery too. It doesn't sound like they're doing a similar priority rollover/reorder system for 2023 -> 2024.

I drive about 250 miles per week (1,000/month). My Frontier got 18 mpg (at $3.33/gal that's $185/month). My Maverick gets 46 mpg ($72/month). That's about $110/month savings. I expect gas to go up after the election in November, so my savings should increase.

At $110/month, that's about $1,200/year. That more than offsets the $200 hybrid fee, which I don't think NC has. PLUS the Federal Gov't is giving me a $4,500 tax credit for buying a hybrid! It would take 22.5 years for the State's $200 fee to add up to the Fed's $4,500 credit.
I don't think that is correct. The Maverick is not a PHEV and is not listed on the IRS list of eligible vehicles.

Loss of gas taxes. Gas taxes pay for the roads and hybrids still use the roads. So, the fee is to offset the loss of gas taxes by your buying less gas. EV charge is $500.

I ordered a Lariat Lux hybrid on Monday and my priority code is 15. I’m not well informed on the priority code differences but my dealer GSM told me that priority 19 was typical, 10 was for my22 reorders so he feels good about my getting a vehicle in 6-8 months.
Fortunately I am in no rush to get it as I’m perfectly happy with my ‘19 Ranger but looking forward to better fuel mileage and smaller size which suits my needs better. Time will tell and no big deal one way or the other.

That may be partially true but the limit on the XL trim is not based around constraints.

The gas/hybrid, trim, package, and commodity breakdown of constraints was all related to commodity constraints. The different parts for a hybrid vs EB drivetrain is as much a commodity as the seats in an XL vs XLT or the number of splash guards purchased.

"With the supply chain constraints continuing for the MY2023 Maverick, it is important to manage new retail ordering within the planned commodity mixes"

Luckily here in Arkansas the Hybrid additional registration fee is only $50 now. It's $200 for EVs though.

And if that's the case then they have royally messed up the ordering process and will have plenty of EB capacity with no demand for it, or at least no orders to fill that capacity.

I made the switch from hybrid to ecoboost when rolling my order over. I wanted the Hybrid but at the same time it was not a requirement for me. Fuel mileage will be about the same as my current vehicle so no loss for me. Maybe next time..
