EB with FWD... plenty zippy. Runs smooth at 109 except for bouncing against that pesky limiter. I would love to see what it is capable of without it.

That has little to nothing to do with top speed potential. Love this truck, but it is not a speed limiter keeping it from 140mph.

it’s only at 3000 rpm when the limiter kicked in…. There’s plenty of room

Challenge accepted. I shall try next time I'm on the highway. I have done 70ish with no problem. I will have to activate SPORT and give up my 50 MPG for 100 MPH.

So are you saying the speed limiter for the hybrids is 109\110?

Oh yeah put it in Sport mode the thing picks up pretty fast... the driver on youtube said 8secs i believe the hybrids a little faster than that...well I'd have to try & see rather..not really sure.

I believe it is actually limited to 108, in both hybrid and ecoboost.

XL Hybrid owner. I use Sport mode on the highway to keep up with traffic on my local highway that has a 70 limit and a flow of traffic of 80 that the state troopers allow. Sport mode is your friend.

I have found that I have slowed down driving the Maverick. I came from a Subaru Forester with the boxer engine that just begged to be revved and an all wheel drive tuned to get you through the curves quick and securely

The Maverick is a little different. It is ultra elegant slipping through the neighborhood on electric only. Stately going around curve with it's higher center of gravity. Effortlessly, accelerating to pass other cars or accelerating on the ramp to the highway. Getting progressively louder as your speed climbs, but always with lots of peddle left if you need to go faster. The copilot 360 helping with the steering. I just relax and take more time.
Wow, that's a totally different experience than I have driving my wife's Forester of the same year. Find it gutless after the too aggressive initial throttle tip in and buries the outside front wheel badly under aggressive cornering. Suspension is great in the rough at speed though. She absolutely loves it. To each their own.

Maverick seems more balance all around.

Cheers.
