  2. My Ford Maverick EcoBoost caught on fire and exploded!!! 🔥

Even though it needs an oil change, I did added a half of quart of 5/30 weight oil at 28,000 miles ( 32300 miles current) and basically I’ve been checking my oil usage and around 7,500 miles the oil level would be a half of quart low. Is that normal for a recommend 10,000 mile oil change...

Well I just upgraded my rental to a 2023 F-150 and the difference with the Maverick is the compact truck feels more refined and the brakes are a bit touchy on the F-150. Well here is more pictures of my Maverick a few months ago when I got myself a Ford brand Tonneau using my ford pass points...

That didn’t matter any way. I had it planned to do the oil change on the 25th of May. I usually do it every 7500 miles even though Ford recommended every 10,000 miles.. The emissions had a problem at 1:47pm and a few seconds later the engine was misfiring , 15 mins later the firemen had put...

ive done similar actions on other vehicles but I’m still waiting for a new bumper on my now dead Maverick . Parts are not easy for Maverick.
  8. My Ford Maverick EcoBoost caught on fire and exploded!!! 🔥

Wow, that’s important!! The check engine light was flashing but the dashboard kept saying the change engine oil soon. I don’t want to make this thread on about what I should or shouldn’t . It’s about concerns and why it did so , it could make a change for the better for future Maverick owners .
  9. My Ford Maverick EcoBoost caught on fire and exploded!!! 🔥

Are you lame or some thing ? My point is that it wasn’t the first time Ford made a mistake and the Pinto was designed 70 years after Ford created it first vehicle. Now it’s over hundred years since ford first design and it’s still not perfect

Many Thanks to my fellow Maverick Many thanks to my fellow members. , I’ve told the truth to my insurance and it’s wasn’t a continuous drive afterwards , it was just to move the Maverick out of a busy small gas station to a empty Parking lot to get it towed. Coming from a mountain pass I had...

  13. My Ford Maverick EcoBoost caught on fire and exploded!!! 🔥

well again , I should of done this or that. It could if been fixed but the point is this is a major concern and what would you do if the fitting broke and oil erupted in flames as soon of a fitting broke and didn’t have time to pull over. It’s the driver fault because he didn’t inspected the...
  14. My Ford Maverick EcoBoost caught on fire and exploded!!! 🔥

let’s get real , a new truck shouldn’t be spraying oil inside the engine bay. It could have been someone else and the spray could be worst where it would be too late and people could get hurt or killed ..
  15. My Ford Maverick EcoBoost caught on fire and exploded!!! 🔥

well no one got hurt and I’ve should of done this and that but a oil change warning is not enough to prevent this to happened to inexperienced drivers. I love my Maverick and being Ford tough is correct but when this does happened again at least I have posted my situation to get Ford to look...
  16. My Ford Maverick EcoBoost caught on fire and exploded!!! 🔥

i don’t know if it’s an isolated incident but being the few first owner, I hope this will open Ford eyes and do a safety recall due to being a new class of vehicle. A new truck shouldn’t catch on fire. Being 50 years old I had many vehicles and I thought I’ve seen it all
