Nope. That's not even possible -- IF that actually happened (pushing the manual lock) it UNLOCKS when you pull the handle to get out.
FYI, in BBcode, that last “[/QUOTE]” has to be intact, or else your post gets all garbled up and it’s hard to tell who’s saying what. Happens a lot around here when people insert things without paying attention.

Anyway, since you’re honing in on the sequencing and temporal aspects of the door-opening motion, surely you understand that the latch handled gets pulled first, before anything else? The lock lever is getting pushed without your knowledge, either using it for leverage when you pull the latch handle, or when you apply outward force to open the door.

It’s okay; it happens to a lot of guys… admitting you have a problem is the first step.

You are quite right... sort of. Yes you initially unlock when handle is pulled. However, after that when you push door open, most people push open the door and push against that little black button, relocking the door before they climb out. Been there and done it myself a dozen times without even looking or thinking about it. I unlock from the passenger side electric lock button. Some day I may train myself to push door open without hand on lever!

This is how it's being done.
Unless someone can demonstrate otherwise, but I doubt it will happen.

Dude, I am so far from that …you don’t know me …you never will and actually …I’m kind of defending the others on here that are saying THE SAME THING I AM. I am not an agitator. I’m actually pretty rational and you are missing a huge point. Do yourself a favor and Go back and READ some of the old posts on this. look at some of the pictures. We ….and I say we …..because I’m not the only one…. cannot help you if you can’t help yourself. 😕😕😕
Ok then, genius... why then does it only happen on ONE of my Mavericks.... and, no, I don't push the door open by the hand on the handle.... I have always used my foot. You are the one who is not actually reading/listening and you cannot possibly know since you are not here. Go ahead and laugh it up if it makes you feel better. I'm just thankful I have the remote keypad to open the doors (or the app). And, yes, ALL the doors are locked -- not only driver's door. The end.

Thanks - I did this inadvertently once & now I know what I did;)

I have keyless start/stop and my fob stays in my pocket - so I can’t actually lock my self out.

My Maverick is very well taken care of and I can’t imagine it locking me out on purpose. Although it may be playing a practical joke on me?

Hey Larry, here’s my thoughts on it. I’ll say it again and again… NO WAY that door locked itself. The users are doing it with their hand. It is exactly as described in Glen’s pictures. I’ve done it myself as have so many others. There IS NO secret locking itself on the Maverick. 🥴🥴🥴
Yes it happened to me also and when I took it to the dealer, they confirmed it also. Then they also agreed that the front passenger side door would not unlock or lock with the fob in hand. Whatever the reason they fixed the problem.

Well, yeah, the fob “not working” is a different problem ….probably a low battery in the remote. That’s how they fixed it but I guarantee you that truck is not “locking itself.” 🥴🥴🥴

You mean keyless entry?

Sounds like a low 12V battery issue.
That side is disabled to save battery drain, along with lights going off sooner and sooner.
Notice that effect?

Be interesting to know what exactly the dealer confirmed also regarding drivers door locking.

I found out on my ‘24 a hidden feature…. if I’m standing outside the tailgate and I press the lock button the tailgate locks with the door locks. If I stand “in” the bed and press the lock button it doesn’t lock. Apparently, Ford doesn’t want us to get locked in the bed. 🤫🤫
