Because this whole thread was a joke...Yours stopped doing it with an update? These don't have OTA updates for the BCM or Door modules. The only 'update' is you finally figured out how to open the door without touching the locking lever.

I haven't seen 1 other post on any related threads that someone else stopped having an issue.
Now - I don't claim to be catching all those threads, and I'm not about to use MTC fine searching process to attempt to find them, so I could have missed a couple.
Also - why do you keep saying button?
The lock lever isn't a button. No way someone thinks that is a button.
A button is the lock/unlock buttons forward of the handle.
A button is the hybrid fuel door open.
Me thinks you are still on the wrong problem area.

Some have admitted to either pushing the lever or pushing the button by accident when opening the door.
Others that maintain that's not what happened couldn't provide a video to back up their claims.
OR
Have not come back to the Forum.

No Ken, I have never gotten out of my Maverick and unintentionally locked the driver's door then thinking it auto locked.Hey BadAl ….the only problem with your statement is that it DOES happen to him….along with many others. We all accidentally lock the door with our hand occasionally.
I looked at the situation logically. Seeing where the two Locking apparatus are located. I then shot video showing how the easily the door is unintentionally locked. I've taken pictures showing how close the Locking lever and the lock button are.
And below is a updated thread made by "Deweyordeweynot" who claimed his Maverick Auto locked him out and it turned out he realized he unintentionally locked the door with his hand.

I understand, somebody may call me a liar, deflection the best they can do. They have not proven me wrong.
To date nobody has ever been able to *honestly and *truthfully replicate the situation of the driver door Auto locking on video.
* Showing both key fobs outside the truck and showing the Locking lever unlocked on the door before closing.

Yeah, I was one of those people that was super annoyed at this happening to me. Ready to go to the dealer and complain, I think I even posted a thread here. Then people pointed out what was happening. I felt like an idiot for sure. But "magically" it's never happened since, now that I'm aware of it. I even asked the Ford tech that came out to do a software update about it. She laughed and said that quite a few people have come into the dealer with that problem and it's always people accidentally hitting the lever.
