Old fart at 72 here. Eco, FWD XL 360 Moon. Traded a 2020 Ranger and never looked back. This truck feels quicker than my 2016 Mustang Eco.

Nice truck young whipper snapper. Just turning 76 myself. Drove 2600 miles round trip to get my AWD, CP360 4k XL. The truck made it no problem. I made it - barely.

Am going to be 71 to soon, I worked for BMW/MB for almost 40 years and got a new demo every 3/4000 miles and never got excited about getting a new one. but cant wait to get my maverick, counting down the days hopefully 2/3 weeks my dealer says its in Arizona some where on a train. I think its the waiting that builds excitement, next time am buying something in stock its been a long 8 months.

Jennifer O'Neill did it for me!šŸ˜
Jennifer O'Neill sort of did it for me also. To refresh my aging memory, I googled Ms. O'Neill and was surprised she is now with husband number nine. Ten marriages, two to the same guy. Apparently, Jennifer did it for quite a few  ;)

I keep saying I wish this had been brought to market 30 years ago. I’d probably be on my 4th or 5th one at this point.
It was available. It was called the Ranger. I still have one, I’m selling it now that I have it’s progeny.

i am of the sparse gray hair generation. i remember when te wife and i bought our first new car in 1969; a 1969 Camaro Z28 Z0302 4-Speed. To us, the fastest car in the world. I saw the 0-60 MPH published times on Restoration Garage the other night; 0-60 MPH in 7.3 seconds.
our 2.0 AWD Maverick does it officially timed at 6.0 seconds.
I now consider the Maverick a Muscle Truck!

I don't get it. Are they marketing the Mav at all, to anyone? I haven't seen one single ad anywhere. And I don't see anything remotely hipster about the Maverick. It is pretty outdoor-lifestyle friendly but I guess if hikers are hipsters, everyone is a hipster.

I figure they want to sell vehicles plain and simple. And everybody knows young people can't afford new cars and that overall they own cars in lower numbers than in the past.
I love the reaction when I tell someone am getting a Maverick first they look at like am crazy and if there in my age group they remember the old maverick than say what are you going to do with THAT! I have seen nothing about the Maverick on the news, in the paper or on TV. I came across it on Utube by accident. Why waste money on adds when they sold
out so quickly. Maybe in August when they open the books again.

No doubt... we won't die without our Mav. And there is something to be said about driving old reliable Honda CRV that you don't mind having someone ram a shopping cart into it.
I have a poor Buick Encore that sometimes does double duty as a truck so I could really use the Maverick. I am very much hoping that everything works out and SOMEDAY Ford gets it together and builds my XLT. They seem to be delivering, if slowly. The worst is being in the dark and wondering when or if it arrives. Now that it's nice out I'm riding the motorcycle more and getting 75mpg so the Maverick will help out only a bit there but come on Ford! How about some news good or bad. We can take it and it can't be worse than my imagination.

Female here who Will be saying goodbye to my 72nd year in 2 weeks. I have been diagnosed with a severe case of Peter Pan Syndrome. I love taking my Maverick to go hiking, running, etc. I am, however, getting tired of people assuming it’s my husband’s truck when he’s with me, but he is quick to correct them ( probably because he knows he would be more diplomatic than I would in the response). Love my XLT luxury pkg hybrid (and the mileage).

Some hipsters are hikers, but not all hikers are hipsters.

old guy here, 66, and retired IT guy. XL was my choice also. For one, to avoid the god-awful orange accents, and also to minimize the number of things that can go wrong. Then, when the supply chain issues messed up production, I thought the XL might expedite my order. But that didn’t happen.

now that I have the truck, I do wish I had the push button start, but not enough to have paid another $10K.
