73 yrs old. Waiting and waiting and waiting for my loaded up Hybrid Lariat Lux. Been driving a Titanium Fusion for the last 10 years and I am locked into the gizmos (adaptive cruise is a deal braker - only available on Lariat Lux) Had my F150s in my younger days. Now I want a truck I can get into my garage for the rest of my driving days. It's like Ford called me and asked what I want them to put in a vehicle.
I feel the same way, like they asked me what I wanted in a vehicle. I got the 2L because I need AWD I have 9703 on it now and ill have close to 40 or 50K by the end of the year. LOVE it. The biggest surprise was acceleration. I'm at the age where I don't use it much, but when I need it, it is there. all while averaging 29.2 since day one. You'll enjoy yours.

Proud to be an old dude. Not my 1st truck. This versatile truck is everything I need in this stage of my life. So glad I ordered it last year. It was worth the wait.
Just picked it up April 19th. 383 on the odometer and just below a 1/2 tank.

Those of us with Honda Elements saw it coming. Advertised for "college age group", you could camp in it, and wash it out with a garden hose...when it was released there was a waiting list for ownership from the "older fart consumers"...took me 6 months to get mine and still have it...and will keep it parked beside my Verisity Blue Maverick Hybrid. If no one noticed there are dozen and dozens of confessed Element owners on this site that have Mavericks in their driveways.
I looked at purchasing an Element, but the combination of the age and mileage on them made me decided to forgo them in favor of a new, zero miles Maverick.

Picked up my Mav today. I must say everything went smoothly. Dealer was great. They did try to sneak in a paint and interior protection plan which I declined. Other than that it was a good experience. My wife and I Love our alto blue Lariat EB. Now we just have to figure out all the features!

I looked for a new(er) low mileage Honda Element b4 ordering the Maverick. Saw a 2008 Element for sale at a local Honda dealership....did not believe the description, had to be a mistake, so went by to look.

386,000
miles on an Element, still did not believe it until the sales rep laughed and showed me a stack of dated receipts and the Carfax report....original engine, absolutely immaculate inside and out.

I was 47 when I ordered my XLT hybrid in July 2021. It would really nice to receive it before I turn 49 (looking at you, Ford).

I know Ford designed and marketed this vehicle for millennials, guys with hair buns and hipsters. Nevertheless, this is our truck. It is probably the most functional vehicle ever made and we old dudes figured this out when it was launched. It is the truck equivalent of a bucket hat, belt with a hidden money spot sewn in, belly pack and trousers that let you remove the legs with a zipper! Stop defending it when people dismiss it as a "trucklette" or call it "cute." You are only driving up the price and making it harder to get.

I got the Maverick to replace my 2007 Ford Ranger ( which I have now decided to keep) Everything you said is true

I am 63, this will be a great vehicle for me. It is like a small version of an F 150, as your photo shows

78 y/o many pickup owner. This is all I ever needed except 4-5 years I occasionally towed a boat, then I would have got a smaller boay. CLT hybrid. Over 45 mpg. Leave earlier, arrive fresher.

I ani't old, I'm just more experienced (78)! Got mine on 10/15/21, Lariat 2T, AWD, 4K, FX4, Cactus Grey, matches my hair.

Have almost 10K on it so far, avg 26+ overall. Have seen 29.9 @ 75 on the interstate down toward the coast, in the mountains 27-28 at the same speed. Call it 'BB' my 'Baby Bubba' Truck.

Put my motorcycle in the back and head out to the good riding locations.

If the 'youngins' are latching onto this concept as much as us older folks, there may be some hope of a future for 'Gearheads'.

You know your getting old when the "low water mark" 80's cars start becoming classics. Cruising the strip in your 83 Plymouth K-car just doesn't seem appropriate.

At 60 yo, the Maverick is my 3rd truck. The Tundra that it replaces was da bomb! I’m liking the Mav as a cheap, efficient truck. Does what I need it to do with dump runs and light towing.

I got my 90yo dad into a hybrid Mav, he’s loving the mileage and is having a good time customizing it. Not sure how many years left he has behind the wheel but for right now, it’s all good.
