I would not buy a used Maverick with 74k on the odometer.

I would buy a clean F-150 with the 5.0L spec'd.

So long as she checked out to your liking - and maybe you get a 3rd party warranty on it - I think you've made a good choice.

Filling my Tremor EB with 93 puts it roughly on par with the efficiency of a full size truck equipped with a V8.

I want an F-150 Tremor so bad, but you know........twice as expensive.

Just kidding. Glad you found something to fit your needs and you're happy with. Stop by any time and keep track of Maverick happenings.

Like the title says, I had blast hanging out on this forum for the last year or so learning all things Maverick. I truly do believe it’s a great little truck. But after waiting about a year I can’t wait any longer. My current daily driver just crapped the bed and I needed a new vehicle ASAP. Would have loved a Maverick but after searching I couldn’t find one in my budget/options I wanted.

That’s when I found my new truck

image000000.jpeg

It’s a 2016 F150 4x4 5.0V8 w/6sp transmission w/tow mod. 74k Miles, FX4 package, Chrome package, Max tow package, & Lux package in Bronze Fire Red color. I paid the same price I would have for the Maverick and I absolutely love it!

I do honestly believe the F150 would be better for me in the long run compared to the Maverick, I’m very glad I stumbled upon this truck!!!

(And to add insult to injury, I saw about 20 Mavericks on the road on the trip there and back, had to go out of state for the F150)
I hope it wasn,t traded in on a Maverick!

Does anyone know if there is a F150 forum like this one for the Maverick?
Yes there is. Actually there is an Internet forum for everything. Quite literally. Best of luck, great looking truck you got there. I love that color. Kudos.

I own or have owned: a Maverick, 2 G3 Rangers, a F150, and a F350.

The F150 is a good thing. You will enjoy yours.

Nice, yes a F150 will be more reliable in the long run than a Maverick will.

Is your F150 flex fuel capable? I was considering getting a F150 eventually too but it would have to be flex fuel capable as gas is $5.50 a gallon again here in CA and E85 is only like $2.85.

Yes it is, what is the difference between the E85 & Reg 87?

In my flex fuel Town & Country, the fuel mileage drops from 22mpg to around 14mpg when I run E85. Savings is a wash as I have to fill up almost twice as often. Power is also less. I stick with regular gas.

E85 is a gas/ethanol mix that is between 51 and 85 percent ethanol. It can only be run in a flex fuel vehicle. It's usually much less expensive to purchase, but you lose power and mileage.

Well mpg will suck but great truck!! Yeah I had the luxury to wait but we gotta do what we have to sometimes.. I wish you the best!!
I have a ecoboost maverick, and I was at the dealer for a oil change today. The cashier guy was asking about my truck. But pretty funny he was saying he was getting 22 mpg in the city , he has 8 minute commute to work. And 30 mpg on the highway. With the ecoboost. I think it's funny he is getting better mpg than me. I call B.S. but I just said nice.also I live in the same area, with a 8 minute commute.
