How I've been doing it.

Well done. How I've been doing it.
I took your advice, the bike stands perfectly on the diagonal. Anchor a strap (wrapped once on the frame) to the tie down of your choice and it's secure. Tailgate closes. Why wouldn't you just lay the bike down in the bed? Catty-corner, could probably close the TG.
It's not the cheapest but i bought some custom cut 80/20 to go across the bed in the flexbed slotsI will be interested in what you come up with as well. Appreciate if you post it. Thx!
I love it. Well done. Will your bike fit with the tailgate closed? It's not the cheapest but i bought some custom cut 80/20 to go across the bed in the flexbed slots
The Thule has bolts to fit, they just need a tiny bit shaved off

The hope is once I get the truck i can grind away the edges and put some rubber ends on there. They will fit right into the slots and be easily removable and collapsible.
Overall it's not cheap but it should be a quick in and out.
I still don't have a build date so i dunno officially. I'm pretty confident it won't close as I ride a larger bicycle, but my main goal was to have it sit lower in the bed and be compatable with a trifold.I love it. Well done. Will your bike fit with the tailgate closed?
My current set up rides just higher than the tailgate for both my skis and bike
Good luck and I hope it's sooner!I still don't have a build date so i dunno officially. I'm pretty confident it won't close as I ride a larger bicycle, but my main goal was to have it sit lower in the bed and be comparable with a trifold.
I'll let you know how it fits in.....March?
Do yo have any issues with the bikes rubbing on each other?Multi-mode DIY bike rack:
I use adjustable rachet tie-down straps to the D-rings, no problems. I have switched to a tailhitch bike carrier recently to carry other items in the bed.Do yo have any issues with the bikes rubbing on each other?
How is that any different than my hitch mount rack that applies pressure to the top tube?If you did that with a carbon frame, you'd have a VERY good chance of cracking the downtube, especially on a bumpy road surface.
