Shoot, by then Hyundai will have the Transformer PTV for sale. Uses your household garbage as fuel, and can be any configuration you want with the included neural link.

I've hauled enough stuff that my bed is already scratched up. I'll be doing my own spray in liner next summer. $500-$700 is way too much when you can do it for like $250 yourself.

Order a cheap Schutz sprayer and a quart of Fluid Film and spray the bed before installing the modular drop in. It will outlive you.

From my own personal perspective I have seen many DIY spray in bed liners and even the fussiest of attempts still looked like shit. I would gladly spend the extra few hundred bucks to get a professional looking job.

Brand new truck, get it done right. Don't be penny wise and pound foolish.

I really like spray-in bed liner(back in the day it was a constraint, so opted out)
I see few videos in youtube for DIY spray-in bed liner.

Did any one of you tried it ?
Is it worth a try ?
Will I be left with more mess to clean-up ?

other option, a drop-in bed liner is okay I guess but really like the look of spray-in

lmk, happy mavericking !
It cost me more to have the old DIY bedliner removed then it did to have the new Line-X installed.

All depends on your patience and skill level.
Prep work is important, glossy new paint needs to be scuffed with sandpaper to allow the liner to stick well.
I did my last dodge ram with a kit from Linerxtreme and turned out great. Indistinguishable from professional jobs. Its a two-part epoxy based product. Sprayed on with a hopper gun. I would not trust any single part roll-on product. There are also urethane based ones, but I haven't used them.
I removed the SIBL from my order and plan on doing it myself

Agree it depends on skill level but with the cost of materials today plus the time to do it right at home I am happy to pay LineX the 550 but did get a military discount so saved $25. LineX has done my last 4 trucks and will do my new one in a couple weeks but my trucks park in the garage. The biggest I could fit was a full size ext cab but my Frontier, Colorado, Ranger and Maverick fit with room to spare.

Not something I will try, wouldn't be surprised if the vapors are deadly. I didn't have a spray on w/ my order for fear of constraints; later found out that my dealer autos one.

I think what I am reading is, "not worth" for a first timer. I also think the effort, martials, result, price are not worth taking the project.

Point taken.
Will get it done by a pro/shop.
