Did you order Moonroof option?

I have had moon/sun roof’s since the 70’s. My current vehicle does not have one and I miss it. When ordering a Lariat Lux AWD Eco a moon roof was a must! I have waited only (!) 3 months now and hope to get the truck this summer in time to enjoy the open roof!

Never had one, probably never will. I don't see much value for how I use my vehicles. I don't spend a lot of time on the road, and when I do, I've never once said to myself, I wish I had a moon roof.

How many have ordered your Maverick with the Moonroof option?

Mine came with the FE package. I've had it almost 3 months and opened it one time to to make sure it worked. LOL

In my original order I did not have one in the build. I saw it as another failure point and something I wouldn't use often. The Cactus Grey Maverick I got was stock ordered and came with it. I honestly like having it.

I like the idea of one, but I just don't know at this point. Drain failure and leaks are huge issues on other platforms with them, at least when they happen. And the one on my Jeep doesn't work at all- but at least it isn't leaking.

Six years ago I would have said exactly the same thing. After buying a used vehicle that just happened to have one I would miss it a lot. Hats off to Ford for offering it as a stand alone option for those who want it, without having to buy a lot of extra toys in a package to get it. It's what sold me on the Maverick. Not a "must" have like the hybrid powertrain, but very close.

My Maverick was ordered on the last day possible for the hybrid drivetrain, November 15th 2021. It’s a cactus grey, XLT with the luxury option and moonroof. Just the way I want it while in no hurry for delivery, it’ll get here whenever it gets here

I thought about it but in our last two new vehicles that had the moonroof option we never really utilized it. It is a nice feature but nothing I had to have. My order is without it.

How many have ordered your Maverick with the Moonroof option?

I did not. I have an 88 Daytona Shelby Z which has T-Tops, and no one... I mean NO ONE... makes replacement seals for these. All these moonroofs, and window options are 3rd party. I plan to keep my truck as long as it lasts.... and I don't need a leaky roof in 20+ years.

just got mine recently and i ordered with the powered moonroof. did i need it? no.... but did i want it? yes... so im happy with my choice and thats all that matters. here are some pics.

After a couple previous vehicles that had one, I am sold on them. There is nothing like opening the roof on a beautiful day and just enjoying the ride. Completely worth it. Even on a bad day, being able to open the visor and just look up is very pleasant.

I almost bought (not ordered) one without a moonroof but fortunately GY Daytona sold my truck out from under me and my salesman at Bozard in St Augustine called me about a FE that someone didn’t want and it had a moonroof! I‘ve had moonroofs on several vehicles and love them even if I don’t open them…just being able to see the sky is wonderful! I will always opt for a moonroof!
