I only drive my truck about 2 miles per day as I live very close to work. I cannot get my truck out of deep sleep mode. Are there alternatives in terms of a different battery that I can have installed? I called the customer service department at my dealership and they sent me to service and I talkto the guys at the service department who said they didn’t know much about the maverick and sent me to my sales person who sent me back to the service department. All I know is that I want my air conditioner to be working when I go out to my car after work in the evening as this was a huge perk that I was looking forward to and I’m completely unable to use the function. Thanks for any help you can give.

it’s a 2023 hybrid xlt with the luxe package. Thanks.

I haven't tried it, but I read somewhere that you can do scheduled remote starts with the Ford Pass App when it's in deep sleep.

Mine didn't start doing the deep sleep frequently until a little over a year.
I took it to the dealer and they tested the battery. They told me it was good.
I asked why it kept dropping to 12.2 volts and going into deep sleep and they had no answer. Only said I could schedule further testing.

I put a Duralast Gold battery in it about a month ago, so far so good.

Your 12v is not getting charged enough with the super short ready times. One solution is to park and put a good "smart" maintainer on your battery through the under hood pins periodically maybe weekly, biweekly, or whatever time is needed to keep charge up. One alternative is to park it while in ready state for an hour or so. Turn off radio, AC, lights, etc to lower the time the ice will run. One thing that seems to slow down the 12v drain is when you get out double lock (push lock button on remote twice) the horn will honk once and the dash, convenience exterior lights, radio, and power points immediately shut down. This will save some drain on battery BUT I think it may shut down some other things also since you are telling computer that you don't expect to drive it for several hours, but I am just guessing. In any case many are driving theirs quite far and still suffer deep sleep so I think it's safe to say that there is at least one unexpected thing happening which prevents 12v from completely charging at least some of the time. It might take Ford some time to solve this but they will. I use a 5amp noco genius on mine which is about $70. But I rotate it among 6v,12v,flooded acid and agm.

Hybrid issue. Toyota RAV4 and Corolla owners have reported the same problem.

I posted info from Ford about fix involving a fuse. Dealer should check posted solutions by Ford. My 2022 had same issue. I took to dealer and they completely updated the software and it solved it. Also it improved the braking and overall performance. It runs like a top!

I "lived with" the deep sleep mode problem for almost 2 years with my 2022 Lariat Hybrid. After several visits to my local service department, which included a new battery being installed, and their technician being in contact with a Ford "expert, " I just gave up, because the only symptoms I was encountering were constant Ford Pass messages and the lack of interior lights. The problems continued after the harness recall work was done, with no change. Recently when I went in for my 2 year service, I again complained about the symptoms. The service advisor had the tech do a more thorough testing of the 12v battery, which revealed a dead cell. They replaced the battery again under warranty on January 17th. Since then, I have experienced no deep sleep mode symptoms, even though my habit of taking just short trips has not changed. I now have interior lights even after the truck has sat for a few days and have no deep sleep messages. I can only hypothesize that it was the combination of the harness repair coupled with the new battery being installed later. The other possibility is that they installed a better quality battery.

I bought a battery maintainer and that worked for a while but It sometimes I would get in the truck when it wasn't on the maintainer and it would have to be jumped entirely. Just got used to no overhead lights and remote features. I took it in last week to have a recall done on it and asked if there was anything that could be done about the battery-- they found corrosion on it and replaced it entirely under warranty--- so far so good.
