So again, truck is dead. It was fine driving to work at 830am but at 130pm, it won't turn on. Either it didn't lock this morning when I got out or the fob did unlock it this afternoon but cannot lock it now. Zero lights or sounds. Oddly, my Ford pass was not working either--I was able to get it reset but it says the truck is turned on. Really odd. Any thoughts? Waiting on dealership to call back--they don't know what to do right now despite me asking for a tow since it's still under warranty.

My money is on a defective battery. Many Mav owners have replaced their OEM battery.

2022 Hybrid so also a good possibility it could be a defective battery cable end solder.

Next time...call Ford Roadside Assistance. It may be faster than the dealer, maybe not.
But, you will have logged into the system and registered a claim (tow) under warranty
This sort of starts the clock for customer service and dealer performance.
I can't promise a better experience but at least your claim will be supported with a paper trail. Rather than an I said/they said. :)

1) call roadside assistance
2) call Ford to open a case and get case #
3) tell dealer you need a loaner/rental.
4) leave it with dealer until they figure it out.

that is the steps we took when ours was DEAD. They had it 28 days. Replaced battery, as well as TCM & BCM module changes per Ford.

the more people that will do this, the sooner Ford will realize that there is an issue and just might get it resolved.

Hello, Brenda. Could you please send us a PM with your VIN and the name and location of your Ford dealer? I'd be happy to see how I can assist you with this dead battery/deep sleep concern.

I am now on my second deep sleep issue in 1.5 years. First stranded me completely...battery replaced...this time I got a message and drove it tonight to hopefully charge it back up some. What do I need to do to get this resolved? Clearly this isn't a "bad battery" having 2 fail in 18 months.

Deep sleep isn't an automatic issue.

It is the response to your truck not being driven for over so many days (or it's voltage drops below a minimum) - since the system has no clue how long it's going to keep sitting - functions are disabled.
One of those being the modem so Fordpass can remote start/unlock the truck, or you can get tire pressure or location info from it.

So that micro-drain of remaining connected to the ATT network doesn't wipe your battery out and prevent opening and starting the truck - it deep sleeps.
And you are informed.

Of more concern is the battery saver methods - lights off sooner, or not turning on.
Now that's showing a battery not getting charged up enough and already below a certain voltage that the system feels in order to start next time, time to conserve battery now by disabling things.

If you get warnings of deep sleep shortly after a drive - ya a problem is coming.
If you get warnings of deep sleep after 4 days of not driving - be glad that system is in place.
