I'd be curious how the top cover gets removed. I feel that the cover is not dark enough, I seem to be the last vehicle on the road with it's headlights on in dusk conditions. I'm thinking that maybe wrapping it with some tint film might do the job.Has anyone had their Day - Night light sensor on the dash or associated components replaced. If so what was actually done and what was the symptoms of the problem?
Is it in auto mode?
O.P. has a thread here where they have determined the sensor to be stuck on night mode.
Yes my head light switch always defaults to auto mode.

In the other thread they tried toggling that. They need to go to the delaer and have them look at this under warranty, I think.
I should be, the truck is 3 weeks old, with 400 miles on it.

It will be a while, the Ford dealer told me it will be the 14th of July before I can get a spot in line. I knew that would be the case, so I hoped that there was an easy fix. No such luck.
It doesn't matter what mode your in its dark, the only way to get a bright screen is turn headlamp switch to O, its dark in Auto, Day and night, turn off headlamp to O and screen gets brighter in all modes.
