Aftermarket Blind spot sensor

I’m getting neck surgery and my range of motion is gone. I almost pulled in front of someone yesterday. Is there any advice on aftermarket blind spot sensor purchase or installation? I will be paying to have it installed. I have a 2024 Maverick XLT with a backup camera. Thank you!

I use the SAE recommend mirror positions.
Unless backing up.
I don't need to see the side of my car. If something is close enough touch my door handle it's too late.

I hate to be blunt, but if you are not able to properly turn your neck to observe traffic and pull out into the road safely, it might be better to have someone do the driving until you are recovered. I am sure you would run into some very serious liability issues if you caused an accident and it was determined that your range of motion made your driving unsafe.

I have a similar problem. I use Grote 2” stick on blind spot mirrors on all my vehicles, they work. I used to drive dump truck and similar so blind spot mirrors were part of my everyday life.

This shouldn't be about just blind spot monitoring. Depending on how limited your range of motion is (or will be), it's also about intersection angles and whether or not you can adequately check for approaching traffic before entering the intersection.

You may need something that can provide a broad field of vision at distance and at a resolution that let's you see clearly what's approaching at any angle past which you can turn your head. There are plenty of 360-degree systems out there but none that function at distance that I'm aware.

My advice is to seek out a company that specializes in outfitting cars for the disabled. They may be aware of products that will cover all those bases.

Did you end up selecting and installing an aftermarket BLIS? I am consider the Brandmotion system but I'm doing researching options. I've never installed one and curious if anyone has had success with them.

I haven't pulled the trigger yet. I had to take a pause after upgrading the stereo. I have a pesky parasitic draw I need to resolve before adding one but it is still on my Christmas list.
