You could use the shower curtain rings to hold your grocery bags.

Great solution. Gems like this are why I ready the Mav posts. Sure, it is not the answer for everyone but for light objects - I keep tools in plastic milk deliver cubes that slide around, this will keep them from sliding. Thanks for sharing.I wanted to stop things from sliding forward in the bed on the drop in bed liner. I know about the 2x6 piece of wood but here's what I did. Amazon has black tension shower curtain rod. I can go up, down, forward or back with just a twist of the wrist. Better looking than a piece of wood and not limited to the slots.. Total cost $14.00.![]()
I'd be cautious about the Harbor Frieght ratcheting bar, as the inner walls of the Maverick are not as robust as full size trucks of the past. I'd be very affraid of deforming the inner walls. Also the shower curtain idea would likely not survive a shifting load if the vehicle must be stopped suddenly. It would break looks immediately once force was applied.Harbor Freight has the same thing for about $22. Might be more sturdy too.

My Harbor Freight bar has been in place a year, no issues. Just don't ratchet it up like Hulk Hogan! Just snug and mine holds everything just fine.I'd be cautious about the Harbor Frieght ratcheting bar, as the inner walls of the Maverick are not as robust as full size trucks of the past. Wow! That's a great idea! I never thought of that. Thank you!!!! I had tried with a piece of plastic wood, but with the roll top cover-it is hard rot remove on the fly without having to roll up the top. I bought one of these cargo bars from Menard's hardware last week, and it works great for me. The brand is CargoSmart, but I'd image they're all about the same. I drove a couple hundred miles on Saturday with coolers and crates against it and didn't have any issues with slipping. It seems very sturdy and much more flexible than the Flexbed slot options. I'll be able to use it in the Bronco as well.Harbor Freight has the same thing for about $22. Might be more sturdy too.
