My 2022 hybrid was/is not AGM in the BCM.
I changed the SOC to 95% a few months ago after my 2nd Battery(Duralast Gold) started getting Deep Sleep messages @ 11 months, again.
Haven't had any since, but not getting my hopes up.
I did change the Target SOC % from as found 80% to 95% then and did the BMS reset last November when the LN1AGM was installed. I just monitor the voltage and haven't had any issues to date.
The few times I've checked with Forscan Lite, I haven't seen above 83% SOC since the AGM install.

Just a reminder to everyone who change the charge level to 95%. Anytime the dealer does an update (usually due to a recall), you must change the charge level back to 95%.

For everyone concerned about the fact the sites selling batteries only having the hybrid coded for the OEM sizes 99R or T4 - mainly used with FLA batteries.

Those sizes have a base of 207 x 175 mm, height 175 mm.

The alternate sizes they probably will never list, which is used more for AGM batteries, is 140R, or H4, or LN1.

Those sizes have a base of 207 x 175 mm (drop in easy as mentioned), height 190 mm - which fits.

https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/dead-battery.54346/page-2#post-926870

Those sizes are just different designations for the same size battery (if the manufacturer claiming that size really held to it - and some sites do list the wrong measurements, other sites same battery size list the correct measurements).

Here's the comparison.

This has probably already been answered in the forum somewhere, but does swapping out the 12v batt yourself versus the dealership doing it for you, void any warranties?
It's in the manual how to change it, so no, it's a maintenance item that can be done by yourself.

Besides you plug it in backwards and fry stuff it's going to be very evident what happened and ya - no warranty then.

Are you driving a hybrid? The battery on mine is under the seat. When I click the link the battery shown says it will not fit the Maverick in big red letters.
Any Group 140R drops right into the Hybrid (under the back seat). Make sure you buy an AGM though. That Uplus Group 140R AGM I also linked earlier turns out to be a fine battery and is likely the cheapest drop-in replacement you can find.

Cheers!

Just ordered this thru Amazon. The seller kept messaging me via Amazon asking to make sure the sizing fits and I kept replying "yes, please ship". Will be dropping it in as soon as it arrives.

Thank you for sharing this info and the direct link

The dealership my Mav is currently at, was trying to sell me the POS Motorcraft BXT 99RT4A and they were also blaming the 7-pin wiring for killing a cell in the current 12v batt.

Very frustrating

Drop that Group 140R AGM in there, and put it all behind you (y)

Good luck!

Most vehicles with auto start stop technology come with AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) batteries as standard. They hold up to constant starting and stopping. They also are not as affected by cold weather as standard lead acid batteries. Just thank God we don't have auxiliary batteries like a lot of newer vehicles come with.

I’ve read that changing SOC actually does nothing. This is what BlueSpec1 is showing too, just slightly over 80% even with it set to 95%.

Did your deep sleep issues lead to you not being able to enter or start the vehicle or were you just annoyed with the notifications?
Just the annoying sleep issues and no interior lights but constantly seeing the battery drop to 11.7 just doesn't sit well with me

I've been dealing with the same battery issue for at least 3 months, with a replacement under warranty thrown in there. Voltage drops to 11.6 or lower every night. I have patiently tried to allow the dealership to find a fix. I am now fairly convinced that is not going to happen. Thank you MTC for advice on the AGM. It looks like I'm going shopping...begrudgingly.

As a friend here in MTC, just do it and go on with your life. You won't regret it.

I've just about given up on my OEM 12v battery, too many deep sleeps and dealer always says it's ok but when I check at home it's 11.7 V.
If I change to an AGM battery besides battery reset procedure does anything need to be changed in forscan and if so anyone in middle TN besides dealer can make the change if needed
I was ready to change to an AGM until I had two recalls completed on 8/28 - 24S27 and 24C01, both were completed by a mobile unit, before I put it in the garage I pulled fuse 11, as of this date - No Deep Sleep, no idea if the recall changed the problem or the fuse, or its all patiently waiting for cold weather. When it returns an AGM will be installed, enough already

I had those mobile updates done as well. Coincidentally or not, that is around the time the battery saver mode starting popping up. I haven't yanked the ever more (un)popular number 11 yet. Maybe I should give that a try.

I installed an H5 AGM from Walmart today. Hoping for a few headache free years from deep sleep.
