Just a quick update on the GTR bulb that I used for the brake light. Had to replace it twice already. Although I got the replacements under warranty, it is not worth the hassle to me. Installed the factory incandescent bulb back in.

Trailer hitch option for sure, as it is integrated into the bumper and will be much more expensive to get installed after.

I know, this is a super old thread, but has anyone successfully gotten the correct values for battery voltage? Mine is also a number around 6,000. I’ll contact Linear Logic as well, possibly they have some new values to try out.

Attached to the bolts in the pictures, but then promptly took it out. It added extra creases and now I had two bolt heads staring out at me. I think they didn’t attach it at the factory to save time. And I’d rather not see the two bolt heads.

Right, and connecting to the parking lights will do the same, as they come on with the headlights.

And just throwing it out there, this is the old version, prone to water intrusion issues and uses wire taps. Think your dog did this on purpose.

Probably there is a difference in the wires between 24 and 25. I still don’t get it why they need to tap into the headlight instead of just using the parking lights.

The recall was announced back in November of last year. The fix was announced this Monday. Agree with TwuckHappens, you probably received a recall letter making you aware of such potential issues. Sorry about your accident.
